My planting process
At present, there are all kinds of orchid plants on the market, and businesses say that they have no choice. Here I would like to talk about the experience of using plant materials in recent years. For your reference.
It has been about six years since I started growing orchids. In these six years, I have used nearly ten kinds of plants, which are 50% carbon charcoal + 30% loess + 20% coarse sand and 20% sawdust + 80% coarse sand in one to two years. In three to four years, 60% of saprotic soil + 30% of bricks + 10% of willow bark, 85% of burnt soil + 15% of fern shavings, 60% of charcoal + 10% of willow bark + 30% of bricks (bricks are crushed into soybean-sized particles), 60% of gold stone + 30% of immortal soil + 10% of snake wood. From the fifth year, 60% of the gold plant stone + 30% of the fairy soil + 10% of the snake wood, 80% of the burning soil and 20% of the willow bark are used. Now I would like to explain the situation of orchids cultivated in the above plants:
1. (1) carbon charcoal 50% + loess 30% + coarse sand 20%, the seedlings planted by this method are strong, the emergence rate is high, and the flowers are very fragrant. I think this may be related to the high content of phosphorus and potassium; in addition, when cultivated indoors, it uses less water, is easy to pour through, and is not easy to form waterways; it is better to keep warm in winter and moisturize in summer. However, due to excessive fertilizer and poor ventilation, rotten roots, virus breeding, reptile breeding, soil erosion, long-term disc subsidence and dust in autumn are easy to occur in spring, and the water consumption is not easy to be controlled during flowering. It is easy to cause incorrect opening and other problems. In particular, this plant formula is very good for the cultivation of Cymbidium downhill grass in the first year, but some drugs that kill ants, snails and earthworms are often used. (using this method, the seedling emergence rate of more than 30 plates of Cymbidium is as high as 207%, and it grows up in one year.)
(2) 20% + 80% coarse sand, this material is only used for the cultivation of cold orchid downhill in the same year, and this kind of plant material has a remarkable effect in the initial cultivation of cold orchid downhill. The inverted seedling rate is very low, the emergence rate is high (generally 150%), the roots and seedlings are strong, and it is not easy to rot roots and rotten seedlings in the rainy season. However, this method should not be planted for a long time, because the follow-up fertility is insufficient. It is a cost-saving and ideal plant material for large-area cultivation and seedling raising.
2. (1) decaying soil 60% + brick dust 30% + willow bark 10% this planting method is close to the natural planting method, the orchid dress plate is fast, the survival rate is high, and the flowers are gorgeous, the opening products are natural, and the aroma is rich. It can be used for home cultivation of all orchids. The disadvantages are: easy to breed reptiles, soil erosion, long-term disk subsidence, and the problem of dust in autumn. However, be careful when peeling bark, do not ask people to catch, that is the crime of destroying forestry resources, you have to be fined!
(2) Burning soil 85% + fern shavings 15% I planted nearly 500 pots of cold orchids and more than 60 pots of spring orchids with this plant. I found that each plate of roots was good and strong, with a high flowering rate of more than 80% (downhill grass that year). Compared with other plant materials, the ventilation is better, it has the effect of planting gold stone + fairy soil, the flowers of this material are more correct (referring to the same flower), the flowers are more fragrant, the number of flowers is higher, and there are fewer insect pests, no germs, easy to maintain humidity, the soil is not easy to harden, moderate fertility, the characteristics of scorched tail and black spots are not easy to appear in cultivation, and the amount of medicine used is less (usually as long as some drugs are applied in summer). The disadvantage is that it is not easy to draw materials, the firing process is complicated, and a site is needed. After long-term use, there are also problems such as environmental pollution, resource destruction and so on.
(3) carbon charcoal 60% + willow bark (willow and weeping willow) 10% + brick shavings 30% this plant is similar to the effect of 2.1, but the emergence rate is higher, and colleagues who are not afraid of trouble and dirt can use it.
3. (1) 60% of the plant stone + 30% of the fairy soil + 10% of the snake wood are used by a lot of people. I think all the friends in the orchid world are using it, so I will not talk about it any more, but I would like to talk about its shortcomings here. That is, the cold orchid planted with this plant is not very fragrant, and it is less and less fragrant year by year. As for other orchid species, I also have this kind of situation, but the performance is not very obvious. If we go back to using the above plant species, the fragrance of the flowers will gradually return to the fragrance (I have planted five orchid species in ten pots and demonstrated this disadvantage). If you want to solve the above problems, you can replace 10% of the immortal soil with rotten soil particles (medium particles) in this plant. If there are conditions, adding a small amount of treated willow bark will have a better effect.
(2) the advantages and disadvantages of burning soil 80% + willow bark 20% are not much the same as 2.1, but better than 2.1, the good thing is that 2.1 fern shavings only care about fertility and air permeability, which takes into account fertility and air permeability, and willow bark also contains aspirin, which is more conducive to the disease prevention effect on orchid seedlings. And the willow bark rot process is longer, there will not be hot basin phenomenon, which is beneficial to the growth of roots and seedlings. If the economic conditions are not very good friends can use this method.
The above usage is just my personal experience in recent years for your reference. I hope beginners don't play with a lot of implants like me and later find that they are not very ideal. (Pinxin people)
