Temperature Management of Phalaenopsis
Phalaenopsis is mainly distributed in tropical low-altitude coastal areas. The optimum growth and cultivation temperature is 25℃ to 28℃ during the day and 18℃ to 20℃ at night. Phalaenopsis is very sensitive to low temperature. When it is kept at 15℃ for a long time, it stops growing. When the temperature is below 15℃, the roots stop absorbing water, the leaves appear necrotic black spots, and the leaves begin to turn yellow and fall off for too long. Every year before winter and early spring of the following year (i.e. before and after heating period) is the period of changeable climate in the north, indoor temperature is less than 15℃, this is the most difficult maintenance period of the year, orchid plants should be placed in the indoor sun, less watering, watering the ground if necessary, bagging the orchid plants at night for heat preservation.
