In order to improve the effect of sawdust planting orchid, I have made a lot of attempts. In the past 3 years, many kinds of ground orchids and aerial orchids have been planted with it, and the effect is good.

The specific method is: sawdust (sawdust) a sack with 1 kg of powdered calcium superphosphate, mix evenly, add 40-50 kg of mature livestock manure, mix well, and then sprinkle with appropriate amount of water to make it wet through without outflow. Then pile it up and cover it with plastic film to prevent rain. Can be used to grow orchids in about a week.

Practice has proved that the original root of this kind of material will not rot. And the new roots grow fast and stout. After planting, it does not need to apply fertilizer for a long time to maintain exuberant growth. The new buds of Cymbidium planted with other materials have only 4 or 5 leaves. When planted with this kind of sawdust, most of the new buds could reach 6-7 leaves, and many plants could produce the second batch of new buds in early June, and the propagation coefficient increased significantly.

Dry sawdust, like a sponge, absorbs fat and water in excess of constant. Inhale at one time and release slowly. In addition, sawdust has good water permeability and air permeability, which is suitable for the growth and development of Lanlong root system and mycorrhiza, and promotes the orchid to maintain exuberant growth.

Generally, after planting for a year, the sawdust will sink because of decay, so you need to add some of the same sawdust to the basin in time. There will be no effect on the growth of orchids within two years, and the pots need to be changed once two years after planting. When changing the basin, as long as the root is washed with clean water, a little trimming can be planted immediately. Planting orchids with sawdust is not limited by season and climatic conditions, so it is suitable for professional households to grow orchids. (Zhejiang-Fang Yonggen)
