Temperature

According to daily observation, 20-30 degrees Celsius is the most favorable for the healthy growth of Cymbidium; 32-34 ℃ grows faster, but the leaves are easy to grow and become thinner: below 15 ℃ and above 35 ℃, the growth of orchids is inhibited.

Humidity. The relative humidity is between 80% and 90%, which is suitable for the germination and growth of Chinese orchid. It is easy to get sick when the relative humidity is too high and grow slowly when it is too low.

Temperature and humidity are very closely related. In the case of suitable light, if the temperature and humidity are suitable, even without fertilization, orchid buds can continue to thrive, and orchid leaves can grow rapidly. Therefore, all kinds of methods should be used to adjust the temperature and humidity at 04:00 (such as thin film heat preservation and moisturizing in winter, cooling and humidification by sprinkling water in summer, etc.).

Ventilation

The breeze in the orchid shed and the gentle brushing of the blue leaves not only appear full of vitality, but also reduce diseases and insect pests. Therefore, in different seasons, fans and windows can be used to achieve the effect of ventilation.

Watering

Water is the source of life, and Guolan is no exception. Watering methods vary from person to person. Some people water it every day, even several times a day. Using this method, if the plant material is loose and unloaded, the orchid may grow faster; if the plant material is tightly hidden in water, rotten roots often occur. And watering is too frequent, which is not only a waste of money and resources, but also exhausting. The watering method I use is very special, that is, the interval is very long. When the temperature is not high, I usually water it only once a month; in hot summer and autumn, I water it once a week. If I don't water it, it will permeate, until the basin bottom continues to flow out of clean water, which is conducive to flushing out the waste gas, residual acid, bacteria and unclean things in the basin. After watering, usually pay attention to foliar watering, summer and autumn generally once in the morning and evening, winter and spring depending on the weather, or once in a row, or once in several days. My long-term use of this watering method (and recommended to other orchid friends) has achieved good results, not only strong and developed roots, but also save a lot of labor. It should be noted that the orchid plant should be watered or sprinkled in the morning in summer and autumn for transpiration in the hot sun, while it should be carried out at noon in winter and spring, which is conducive to the health care of the orchid plant.
