Paclobutrazol is effective in domesticating wild orchids and optimizing the plant type of orchids. However, some people have caused drug damage to orchids due to improper use of paclobutrazol. Here are some remedial measures.

Paclobutrazol was mainly absorbed by roots, but not by leaves.

Paclobutrazol was used in gramineae plants with a concentration of 100-300PPM, 30ml / mu and 40g / mu, which often caused drug damage. To control the concentration of overgrowth is generally in 100PM. The overdose used in orchids is of course serious. Paclobutrazol is generally used only 1-2 times to control the overgrowth of plants, and the interval should be 10 days at 7 Mel. If it is used repeatedly on the same plant, it is of course very dangerous.

Paclobutrazol was originally used in the normal range, such as rice and other crops to a certain extent, its delaying effect can be lifted by itself, but in woody and other crops due to the Lignification and keratinization of stems and leaves to achieve the purpose of length control. When used in orchids, the leaves can be controlled to be too long and dwarf, but if the dosage is too much, the orchid plants will stop growing or the leaves will be vilified. The remedial measures for drug damage caused by orchid plants can be carried out from the following aspects.

First, to turn the basin and select the fresh culture soil, because paclobutrazol is mainly absorbed by the root system, turning the basin to change the fresh culture soil is the first measure. Second, when turning the basin, wash the orchid root and dry it to remove the residual paclobutrazol in the root.

Second, appropriate supplement of nitrogen fertilizer. When the temperature was above 15 ℃, 0.1% urea and other nitrogen fertilizer was sprayed on the leaves according to the situation to promote the green of the leaves.

(3) spraying gibberellin (920) if necessary: use a foliar spray of 5000 Mel 10000 times the concentration of gibberellin on the leaves that have been damaged by the drug. If the effect is not good, please increase the concentration carefully. The effect can be seen 5 days after the use of gibberellin, and if it is not effective after the second use, it should be discontinued. After adopting the above measures, the new buds will grow normally.
