Orchid cultivation: a New method of Orchid Fertilizer supply-- Infusion method

1. Method of operation. Use the abandoned infusion bottle in the hospital, put the nutrient solution into the bottle, insert the infusion tube, and hang upside down (higher than the basin). The needle at the other end is inserted into the false bulb of the orchid (as long as a pot of orchid is a continuous cluster seedling, any one is inserted into the needle, the whole pot of orchid can get nutrient supply), and the nutrient solution is slowly infiltrated into the plant tissue from the infusion bottle through the infusion tube and needle. to achieve the purpose of fertilizer supply.

two。 Nutrient solution requirements. The type of nutrient solution used for the supply of fertilizer in an "infusion method" is mainly determined according to the purpose of fertilization. In general, conventional fertilization can be used with a certain concentration of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other trace element chemical fertilizers. According to the actual situation, all kinds of special nutrient solution for orchids sold in the market can also be used. Such as Guangdong Shaoguan Meihui brand orchid hydroponic nutrient solution and Jia Lanbao, promoting root growth, sprouting agents, etc., can also use amino acids, glucose solution, sucrose solution and so on.

The requirement for the concentration of nutrient solution is very low, generally 0.01% to 5%. The concentration of a large number of elements should be high and the concentration of trace elements should be low.

The PH value of nutrient solution directly affects the absorption and utilization of nutrients in plants. If you buy a special nutrient solution, you can dilute it as required. If the self-made nutrient solution is mainly supplied with cations, the solution should be adjusted to slightly alkaline; if anions are mainly supplied, the solution should be adjusted to weak acidity to improve the nutritional effect.

3. The period of use. It is generally appropriate to carry out in the period of exuberant growth in order to promote growth. Sometimes it can be carried out in the dormant period to improve the cold resistance of orchid plants and make them survive the winter safely.
