Many orchid friends in northern Guangdong try plastic foam as planting material, and the effect is good. Practice has proved that foam orchid culture has the advantages of no stagnant water, ventilation, high germination rate, white roots and so on. However, the luster of the planted orchid leaves is not green enough, which is related to the lack of organic fertilizer in plastics. Some orchid friends spray phytogen or love to harvest more than once every 10 days, and some mix plastic foam particles with pond mud to solve the problem of nutrient deficiency.
