The origin of my lazy soil

Lazy soil, in short, is mountain land. The color is dark, in a granular state, soaked and exposed to sunlight.

Lazy soil, as its name implies, does not use the fairy soil materials purchased in the market, but directly uses mountain mud to raise orchid grass, the effect is much better than the fairy soil. Since I used mountain mud to raise orchids, I have hardly used any other materials, and I am growing gratifying.

I remember that a farmer once said a thing (origin).

In the past, white charcoal was used for heating in winter in rural areas. in order to support their families, farmers usually went to the mountains to burn white charcoal and dug a large mountain kiln on the mountain. The big trees cut down were divided into pieces and put into the mountain kiln. Instead of being lit by open fire as ordinary people cook, they were like mountain farmers burying ash, leaving only green smoke, steamed and smoked, and the final product was white charcoal, put in sacks, carried down the foot of the mountain, transported to the market for sale, in exchange for copper plates for livelihood. The excess is left at home to keep warm for the winter.

It is just a matter of history. Now the living standard has improved, and farmers generally use liquefied petroleum gas or biogas. The charcoal kilns in the mountains have been given up. With the passage of time and the changes of the mountains, a large number of them are buried in the ground, plus leaves. For years and years, they are full of fertility. If you look carefully, they feel as dark as coal. Please take a look at some of the photos I have used.

I remember that one of my cymbidium trees came down the hill last year with two seedlings and a new bud, with a bud. At the beginning of this year, there were no new seedlings, but there was a bud, and the opening product was good. After the end of the flowering period, the cymbidium desperately sprouted, and by September 25, it had reached 14 seedlings. When I came home on National Day this year, I saw that the orchid was too crowded. I bought the orchid pot and began to change the pot. I found that I had added a new seedling and felt that there was a new bud or bud. And any leaf has no smell of burnt. I am very satisfied.

Processing and screening of lazy soil:

Go up the mountain and bring three sieves, large, medium and small, which are sorted according to the size of the particles and packed into snakeskin bags or gunny bags. because the weight of the mountain soil is very heavy, I hire donkeys to carry their backs down the mountain, and I get paid 200 yuan a day.

After the lazy soil goes down the mountain, it is necessary to make a rough screening, remove impurities or grass seed straw, soak it in disinfectant (I am Topurazine), soak it in the sun for 3 to 4 days, fish it out and expose it to the sun for a few days, and wait for full dryness. Put it into a sack, ready for use, such lazy soil, unbroken, always maintain a granular state, dark color, feel good.

Lazy people put on the pot:

What I do is: after pruning the bluegrass, wash and disinfect the bluegrass, cool and dry until the root system is a little dry, and the surface color is limited to white and gray (the fresh root system is afraid that the pot will be broken short, which will affect the root release in the future). By the same token, for the flowerpot, wash, soak and remove the fire, and start to put the bluegrass on the pot, and the lowest layer is the tile or the breathable cover bought by the market (with air holes). The next step is to put some thicker broken bricks or good lazy soil, and then add a certain amount of medium-thick lazy soil, first pat on the basin wall to make the plant enter every gap, and then put it into the bluegrass, and then add a lot of lazy soil around the bluegrass (stable orchid plant), but do not let the lazy soil enter the leaf ditch of the orchid plant, grab the bluegrass in one hand and fill the orchid basin with trumpet lazy soil in the other. Then fill it with medium and coarse lazy soil, and finally fill it with large lazy soil, about 2 cm at the mouth of the basin, start without lazy soil, gently row around the orchid basin, make the lazy soil fully stick to the orchid grass and orchid basin, at the same time, lift the orchid plant slightly, and gently discharge the orchid basin by hand, after this, the basin surface is lightly pressed, and the work on the basin is completed.

An orchid basin soaked in bluegrass:

For the new orchid plants, it is best to use the soaking basin, so that it is easy to fully absorb moisture. When the orchid pot is put in, you will hear a sniffing sound. After soaking in the sink for about 20 minutes, you can take out the orchid basin and get into the semi-shade state. But to maintain ventilation and ventilation, there is also a certain amount of light (to avoid direct sunlight). After a week, enter the orchid room, orchid room or greenhouse, and turn to conventional cultivation.
