The mountain area of Enshi in western Hubei, where the author is located, has beautiful peaks, high mountains and deep forests. Under the thick fallen leaves in the mountains, there is a layer of black loose soil, which is a layer of fertile soil formed after years of fallen leaves rotten and withered. This layer of black soil is called rotten leaf soil, and the people who cultivate Chinese orchids call it orchid mud. Most of the people who initially raised Chinese orchids in mountainous areas used this kind of orchid mud as a plant for raising orchids. Using this kind of orchid mud to raise orchids, as long as a reasonable and appropriate water supply, this kind of orchid mud can also raise Chinese orchids. If you add an appropriate amount of 0.5-1cm diameter red brick or rubble particles to the orchid mud, it is conducive to running water and breathable, and the orchid will grow more beautiful.

Yulan, which planting material is good?

To answer this question, the author's three orchid friends respectively use different plants, the growth of orchids, is the best answer.

Mr. Deng Zhongxuan, who is adjacent to the author, is in his twenties and has read the four Books and five Classics. Since 2001, the rotten-leaf soil dug up from the growing places of cymbidium, cymbidium, and cymbidium is used to raise orchids after sieving. Old Deng often reads books and periodicals about orchids and believes in the Orchid Sutra. He has been using rotten leaf soil to raise dozens of pots of cymbidium, bean orchid, and blossoming cymbidium. Every year, the new grass buds are strong, the flowers are good, the new grass does not fall, and the old grass does not burn. Old Deng said: it is good to raise orchids with rotten leaf soil, there is an inexhaustible supply of plant materials, and there is no need to spend money, and the moistening humidity of plant materials is easy to master. The key is to keep a good control on the appropriate time of water supply and the quality, quantity and temperature of water supply according to different seasons.

Mr. Deng Zhengshun, director of the sales department of Shuibuxie Credit Union Changling Branch, has just turned 40, and his life and career are in full swing. After graduating from high school, Mr. Deng worked as a grain controller, a primary school teacher and a lawyer. Since 2002, he has been raising orchids in his spare time, purchasing a lot of orchid works, and subscribing to Chinese Orchid and Orchid. Mr. Deng is cautious, stable, calm, thoughtful, serious in doing things, and likes to explore and study things that interest him. So far, he is using large particles of fire-fired bricks (no more than 1cm in diameter) and fine particles below 0.5cm to mix well with 30% of orchid mud to make plant materials. Cymbidium, bean-pea orchid, blossom spring orchid, four-season orchid, cold orchid, rabbit ear orchid more than 20 pots, orchid growth is quite good, let people watch, the heart is very comfortable. In November 2003, Mr. Deng came to a plant with an artistic leaf tip (Douban orchid), which was nurtured with such a plant. After careful care, in the early summer of 2004, it sprouted with a very unusual shape. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, a silver-white chimera grass grew into a grass with beautiful lines. In February this year, Mr. Deng gave up his love and asked an orchid businessman in Suizhou, Hubei Province to bid 2300 yuan to buy it. According to Mr. Deng Lu, the grass he bought will hopefully produce good craftsmanship. The grass sprouts have already grown 1cm and are growing well.

Teacher Deng Xuejian, who lives in Yesanguan Town, has retired for several years. A physical examination, found that fatty liver, the doctor ordered to increase the appropriate amount of exercise. So, from the spring of 2003, teacher Deng left the mahjong card table, carrying a basket of flowers and carrying a small hoe, climbed the mountain to dig orchid grass, and began the activities of raising orchids, appreciating orchids and singing orchids.

According to teacher Deng's planting materials for growing orchids, perhaps the vast majority of orchid friends will not agree. The plant material used by Mr. Deng to cultivate orchids is the yellow mud dug up from the mountain, which is rigid and seems neither fertile nor loose. However, the orchid cultivated by teacher Deng with yellow mud does not rot the root, the root grows well, and the crystal head of the root is white and tender. A pot of cymbidium has three stalks blooming. The color of orchid leaves is dark green, shiny, not burning tip, leaf nail is not withered. Teacher Deng's Languo is on the top floor of the house, uncovered and raised in the open air. "in this way, bluegrass can fully accept the aura of heaven and earth, and bluegrass doesn't have to worry about growing up." Teacher Deng said solemnly: "Yellow mud is also soil, born of all things." Wherever there is bluegrass, it is not only which kind of soil is suitable for bluegrass growth, but also scientific methods. " The water that teacher Deng poured into the orchid basin was clarified after soaking in burnt plant ash.

The above three orchid friends raised orchids using different plant materials. From the growth situation of orchid grass, it shows that the plant materials of orchid cultivation can be based on local conditions, but it is necessary to distinguish different situations and pay attention to scientific cultivation methods.

Superficial knowledge, please do not hesitate to give advice to the orchid friends as thanks!
