One word expresses the feelings of many orchid friends. However, time flies, and for a long time, there has been little progress in the development of orchid plants in the mainland. Last autumn, a domestic manufacturer specializing in the production of supreme cultivation matrix developed a kind of natural mineral inorganic nutrition blue stone-active washing stone. Characteristic 4: the matrix is divided into coarse, medium and fine granularity, which is suitable for the cultivation of various national orchids and the cultivation of old Reed head. Characteristic 5: the matrix contains a large number of nutrient elements and a variety of mineral trace elements, and has the function of slow release, which can be slowly absorbed by orchids for about 1-2 years. Characteristic 6: the matrix is clean and hygienic, green and environmentally friendly. Aseptic, no smell, no eggs, can inhibit the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, and no environmental pollution. Characteristic 7: the PH value of the matrix is 5.5-6.5, which is slightly acidic and is very suitable for orchid growth. Characteristic 8: beautiful appearance, natural harmony. The surface color of the matrix is natural grayish green and does not contain any artificial pigments. When wet, the matrix is dark grayish green, when dry is light grayish green, the color is beautiful and pleasing to the eye, which is incomparable to all other blue stones.

The advantages of using this substrate to cultivate orchids are as follows: convenient watering and easy to master. Because of the physical properties of the matrix, watering, which is considered difficult by everyone, becomes very simple. No matter how much water is poured, there will be no water in the orchid basin. If for a moment of negligence and forgot to water for three or five days, the orchid stone will slowly release the water contained in it, supporting the absorption of the orchid plant without drying up the orchid seedlings. The second advantage is that because of the physical and chemical properties of the matrix itself, it provides an extremely good growth space for Langen. Therefore, the orchids cultivated with this substrate have clean roots, moderate length, developed and strong. Its advantage three: after more than half a year's observation, it is felt that the orchids cultivated with this substrate sprout more in spring. Many pseudobulbs can send out two leaf buds at the same time, and the spring buds thrive and grow vigorously. The fourth advantage: the matrix can inhibit the occurrence of diseases and insect pests. After more than half a year of observation, the two pots of Cymbidium cultivated with this substrate grew vigorously and never had any diseases and insect pests. Its excellent point 5: the matrix is clean and has no peculiar smell. When orchids are cultivated with common substrates (including imported orchid stone), after a period of time, a large amount of salt and harmful substances accumulate in the substrate due to fertilization, and a large number of harmful substances are excreted in the process of orchid root metabolism. it will produce an unpleasant smell in the substrate, thus polluting the environment. The cultivation of orchids with active zeolite did not produce any peculiar smell in the past half a year, which protected the environment. This is all due to the second characteristic of the matrix. Its excellent point 6: the price is cheap, can be accepted by ordinary wage earners Lanyou.

After more than half a year of cultivation experiment and observation, I think the effect of orchid cultivated with this domestic active zeolite is not inferior to that of all kinds of imported orchid stone. I think the effect may be better if this kind of blue stone is mixed with other substrates (such as Sichuan Hongxian soil, green bar bark, etc.). Of course, this has yet to be verified in the future.
