Aloe vera belongs to tropical plants, but you can also keep it in cold places in winter, and it is still warm indoors.

Aloe vera belongs to succulent plants, the leaves are full of water, they like dry, warm environment very much, hate wet and cold most, the soil keeps slightly dry, your aloe vera will never die.

1. Lighting

Keep aloe vera in a sunny place. It can be a sunny kitchen window or a sunny balcony. Indoor semi-shade can not grow well. (light from 6 to 8 hours a day)

Aloe can also grow healthily in scattered light, but it can't thrive in shady rooms or in the shade of trees, so make sure you have sunlight in your room.

Note: there is no frost outside, it can stay outside all the time. 95% of aloe is water, and even the slightest frost will make it paste.

2. Watering should be cautious

Aloe vera does not need any care, does not need too much water, be sure to wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. (when the soil 5cm below the basin is dry, it can be watered thoroughly.)

On sunny days, it usually dries out in a week and a half, except in winter or on rainy days.

If your aloe has just been planted, it is recommended that you water it after two or three days. It will take time for the roots to adapt to the new soil.

If you are not sure whether the soil is dry or not, you can water it for two more days. Less watering will not kill you, and more watering will cause the roots to rot.

3. Fertilizing during the growing season

The growing season is usually from April to September, when they are booming, can be given a little thin fertilizer, can be given once a month, diluted thin liquid fertilizer, fat and water should not remain in the leaves or the center of leaves.

Do not apply fertilizer in winter and do not apply fertilizer if it is too hot in summer.

4. Pay attention to changing the basin

If the potted aloe you just bought can't stand firmly in the pot and feel that there is no room to grow, then changing the pot is a good way. You can transplant it into a larger pot, and it will have more room to grow. However, watering should pay more attention to dry and thoroughly watered.

If the bottom drainage hole of potted aloe is large and the flowerpot is big enough, you don't have to transplant frequently for a long time and change the soil every two years.

5. Soil selection

Aloe vera, like some cacti, prefers dry sandy soil and cannot use the kind of soil that preserves water, otherwise it is easy to accumulate water and rot roots.

The 1:1 mixture of peat soil and perlite is also suitable for growing aloe, just like succulent soil, don't let the soil always wet, well-drained soil is the key.

6. Selection of flowerpot size

After growing for a period of time, the root system of aloe will bind the soil in the pot into soil balls, and when the root system is full, you have to choose a larger flowerpot.

Generally long a year to change the basin, such as the aloe above, the root system has grown full can be considered for a larger basin.

When replanting, the rhizome is not stable, so you can add more soil to the edge and press it slightly with your hands.

7. Add pebbles

It is recommended not to put too thin colored decorative stones, which will hinder the breathing of the roots, will fade, put some small pebbles, and so on, and gently press them in the soil.

8. Propagation of aloe buds

Ramet is the main method of propagation of aloe. If your aloe grows small buds, it can be separated from the mother plant when it grows to 3-4cm. Be careful not to hurt the root.

After ramets, clean the buds, put them on a dry and cool shelf, let them dry their roots for 2 days, plant them in a new pot soil, and water them three days later.

Small buds can reproduce regardless of whether they have roots or not. just don't pour too much water in the first few weeks of planting, just spray some water when dry.

10. Use aloe plants to treat burns

Aloe vera is very effective in relieving sunburn, as well as for other types of mild burns.

If you go to the sun for a day and your skin turns red, you can rub aloe juice on your skin or squeeze the leaf gel on your hands. The scar will disappear after a few attempts.

You can cool the cut leaf in the refrigerator and rub it on your wound.

But be careful not to wipe open wounds with aloe vera, especially those that are serious, not superficial, and use it only when the surface of the skin is burned. I just saw a doctor if I had a bad burn.

11. Aloe beauty, conditioner and soap

Aloe Vera gel is a great natural moisturizer, it can make the skin better, of course, you need to be insensitive to aloe and will not have an allergic reaction. You can rub aloe gel on your skin to moisturize or mix with other skin care ingredients.

12. Here are the common cosmetic practices of aloe:
