Generally speaking, there are three kinds of sources: transliteration, free translation and direct use of Japanese Chinese character names. And some are mixed. In this article, one or more examples are given in each of the three orders. all the photos were taken at the flower stall near our company. If not specified, all belong to the genus Clematis.

Crispy duck, scientific name Echeveria "Supia". The leaf disk of this species is rosette, the leaves are smooth green, and the tip and leaf margin are red. The word "crispy duck" is the transliteration of supia, which doesn't make any sense. Of course, such a name is not very serious, but at present, no one has specially drawn up a Chinese name, so let's use it this way.

Because of the card, the scientific name Sinocrassula indica (Decne.) Berger, Clematis. This species is favored for its red to purplish red leaves, sometimes called purple card, whose name is the transliteration of indica, and is said to be imported succulent. But! If the Latin name is correct on the Internet, this species is widely distributed in China, and the correct name in the Flora of China is Shilian, which is not foreign enough.

Moonlight goddess, scientific name Echeveria 'Moon Goddess'. This species is a hybrid variety of Flower Moon Night and Moon Shadow, with thick and long spoon-shaped leaves, thin leaf edges, light green leaves and pink leaves. Obviously, "Moonlight Goddess" is a free translation of Moon Goddess, which is called "Moonlight Goddess" in Japanese.

Orion, scientific name Echeveria oirion. The leaf blade is spatulate, with a small tip at the front, and is closely arranged in the shape of a lotus. The leaf color is more dreamy, the tile cyan is pink blue, and the leaf edge is deep pink. The name is paraphrased and written in Japanese as "Orion", which also means Orion. This expert has no research on constellations, except for the mood of Aquarius, he doesn't know anything else. We Scorpios are characterized by scientific rationality and never believe in constellations.

Spiegel, scientific name Aeonium tabulaefoeme, Lotus Palm. This species has a peculiar shape, the leaf blade is sessile and the leaf margin has white cilia. All the leaves grow horizontally from the center to the surrounding, and the whole leaf disk is as flat as a mirror. The name also comes from Japanese. This species belongs to the "Dongyun" series, the leaf rosette is densely arranged, the leaf color is from tender green to yellowish green all the year round, and the leaf edge to the leaf tip is usually bright red or bright red. Female chick, scientific name Echeveria cv. Mebina . The leaves of this species are slender, red-edged, pointed at the front end and closely arranged in the shape of a lotus. The name is also the original Japanese version of "Jin Si Huang", the meaning of which is the same as that in Chinese; the word shake probably expresses the artistic conception of the fluctuation of sunlight, and its specific meaning may require understanding. Hong Si, scientific name Echeveria nodulosa. The leaves of this species have a special red pattern, and the leaf margin is also red. "Hongshi" is in Japanese, and red is red. It is used for "service", "official" and "official position". It probably means that this guy is red. It may be equivalent to "red boy", but the word "boy" is inelegant and replaced by "division", then it is noble.
