Adiantum flagellum: also known as Adiantum setifolium, leaves linear lanceolate, about 10~25 cm long, often extended into whiplash at the top, rooted on the ground. Leaf blade oblong, unpinnate or bipartite lacerate, upper margin and outer margin often parted into narrow lobes, lower margin straight and entire.

Adiantum cuneifolium: leaves wide triangular, 2~4 pinnate division, lobes rhombic or oblong.

Variant:

Adiantum striata is distinguished from the original form mainly by the deep splitting of the tip of the final pinnule into some strip-shaped lobes.

Medicinal value:
