Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Crab claw orchids can be restored in three or four months if they are properly maintained. First, the residual flowers need to be cut off. The second is to turn the basin to reduce the harmful substances in the old soil and increase nutrition. The third is fertilization, base fertilizer and ordinary fertilizer are very important. Then there is sunshine, 8-10 hours is enough. Finally, temperature and moisture, 22-25 ℃, moisture should be dry and wet.

1. Cut off the remnant flowers

This is a step that must be taken. If they do not do so, they will continue to consume a lot of nutrients, which will be wasted. In that case, it is very disadvantageous to the later compound flowers. In addition, in addition to the failed flowers, those withered stem nodes can also be cut off together.

2. Turn the basin

After flowering, the plant goes into a dormant state. Take advantage of this stage, you can turn the basin for it, so that it can reduce the harmful substances in the original soil and increase nutrients for it, which is beneficial to its reflowering. The specific step is to replace about 1/3 to 1/2 of the soil at the bottom and cut off the dry roots. Then, prepare the loose, fertile new soil and replant the plant.

3. Fertilization

When changing the basin, you can add some base fertilizer, such as fish bone meal, or some self-made liquid fertilizer and so on. Do not fertilize while dormant. When the new stem grows out, it can be managed normally. Also apply some compound fertilizer, or homemade organic fertilizer, about once every half a month.

4. Sunshine

If you want to promote the differentiation of flower buds, sunshine must be indispensable. After a period of dormancy after flowering, you need to guarantee eight to ten hours a day. The rest of the time, it's best to put it in the dark, especially at night. If other conditions are also suitable, a new bud can appear in about 20 days.

5. Temperature and moisture

Paying attention to these two factors can provide a good external environment for the compound flower of the plant. The first is the temperature, preferably in a suitable state, specifically 22 to 25 degrees. As for moisture, it can be seen that it is dry and wet for the sake of safety.
