Culture methods and matters needing attention of Rhododendron
1. Soil
Rhododendron likes loose, fertile, weakly acidic soil with good drainage and air permeability. I don't like heavy, alkaline soil. Therefore, we can mix rotten leaf soil, peat soil and sandy soil according to the ratio of 5: 2: 3 as the soil to support it. A small amount of bone powder can be added to the soil before planting or transplanting to increase the content of minerals in the soil.
Second, temperature
The most suitable temperature for rhododendron growth is 15-25 ℃. Try to let it grow in this temperature range in spring or autumn. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, you should pay attention to control the temperature, the maximum should not exceed 32 ℃, and move it to the house in time when the temperature is low in winter, and keep the temperature above 5 ℃.
Third, watering
Watering azaleas is a technical task. if you water more, it will rot its roots, and if you water less, it will dry the leaves. Generally speaking, we only need to keep the basin soil moist in early spring. When it is ready to blossom in late spring and early summer, the water demand will be greatly increased, so it should be watered a little more. In summer, the temperature is too high, in addition to watering, but also spray some water on the plant. In autumn, when the weather turns cool, it is necessary to control the water moderately and let the basin soil dry slightly. After it goes dormant in winter, it will be watered less.
IV. matters needing attention
1. Pruning. Azaleas grow faster and are easy to grow densely, which will lead to many internal branches and leaves without light and can not grow healthily. So prune it in time, which can not only make it look better, but also make it healthier.
2. Change the basin. The growth of rhododendron needs to consume the nutrients in the soil, and after one or two years of cultivation, the nutrients in the soil will be absorbed by it. At this time, it needs to be replaced with new nutrient-rich soil so that it can continue to grow healthily.

Soil: mainly humus-rich soil. Temperature: like a warm environment, 18 to 25 degrees is the best. Watering: keep the basin soil slightly tidal and water less in summer and winter. Fertilization: add phosphate fertilizer during the growth period, not too much, so as to avoid fertilizer damage. Pruning: cut off weak branches and tidy up buds.
