Last Updated: 2024/10/07, There are four reasons why crab claw orchid falls into bud. One is too little light, the other is improper watering, the third is insufficient fertilizer, and the fourth is low temperature. One of the measures is to control water and stop fertilizer. Second, it needs to keep warm and brighten up. Third, ventilation and insect prevention.

1. Related reasons

(1) too little light: if there is not enough light, then there is no way to guarantee photosynthesis. There is no way to avoid the phenomenon of falling buds.

(2) improper watering: during flowering, the plant is very sensitive to water. If it is watered too often and too much water, the bud is likely to fall. In addition, if the temperature of the water is very low, it may also cause the bud to fall. In addition, sprinkling water on the bud may also lead to the same consequence.

(3) insufficient fertilizer: mainly due to the lack of fertilizer containing P and K. If there is no supply of nutrients, the flowers are likely to fall.

(4) the temperature is too low: it likes to be warm, especially when it is in bloom. If below five degrees, then the phenomenon of bud withering and falling will be very common.

2. Remedial measures

(1) controlling water and stopping fertilizer: the most important measure is not to pour too much at one time. Especially when the basin soil is very dry, it is not watered thoroughly at once, but slowly, step by step. You can also spray some fog every day, but use the same water as room temperature. There is also fertilizer, which can be used before the formation of buds. However, after the bud is formed, there is no need to fertilize.

(2) Heat preservation and gloss: when flowering, it is best to be between 14 and 20 degrees, not too high, not too low. As for lighting, it is best to put it in a position such as a balcony with sufficient light. And, in order to receive light evenly, it can be turned at regular intervals. If there is not enough light during the flowering period, you can also use fluorescent lamps to remedy it. Exposure for three to four hours at night is good for keeping buds.

(3) ventilation and insect prevention: regular ventilation can effectively prevent some insect pests. It is best to open the window for ventilation at noon when the weather is fine. In addition, if pests are found, a small number can be caught manually, and a large number can be sprayed.
