Common diseases and insect pests of calla lotus and their solutions

I. Diseases

1. Soft rot

① symptoms: after suffering from this disease, the parts near the ground will rot and fall off, and gradually change upward, the edges of the leaves will soften, the color of the flowers will deepen, the pedicels will fall, and eventually the whole plant will die.

② method: remove its disease spot at the initial stage of the disease, and spray it on the disease spot with some formaldehyde. When planting this kind of plant, you can't plant too deep, and you can't see too much water. Pull out the seriously sick plant and burn it clean to prevent it from infecting other healthy flowers.

2. Leaf spot

① symptoms: this disease is generally caused by three kinds of bacteria, the most is leaf spot mold, in the early stage of the disease, there will be some nearly round white spots on the leaves, and gradually grow into large spots, and even damage flowers and stalks.

② method: clean the sick leaf immediately after it is found, and then spray it with EC, preferably once a week, until it is almost better after two or three times. Do not pour too much water in the normal maintenance process.

3. Mosaic disease

① symptoms: when you get sick, its leaves will shrink and become deformed. Then the area of its veins will fade and light-colored dots will appear on the flowers.

② method: plants that are not diseased should be selected at the beginning of planting, and should be burned as soon as they are found to be sick during growth. You can control it with a marathon.

II. Insect pests

1. Symptoms

The main pest is the kind of fly, which is a kind of maggot. Its young worms will erode the part of the seedling, causing it to rot and die.

2. Methods

It can be preserved with very mature organic fertilizers to prevent adult worms from laying eggs. Control the bug when it is most likely to grow. You can spray it with some insecticidal powder, or you can treat its soil and seeds with chemicals as soon as they are ready to be planted.
