The corresponding method of Guolan virus

1. Lanyou should make sure that the virus-free orchid strain can be introduced before purchasing the Guolan plant.

2. National orchid virus disease can only be observed with the naked eye in the new tissue. When buying, it is best to choose a healthy, strong and budding national orchid to avoid buying an orchid strain with the virus.

3. Pay attention to the growth status of Guolan plants at any time, and plants found with viruses should be quickly isolated or destroyed to avoid contact with other healthy orchid plants to prevent their infection.

4. The utensils used in the cultivation process, such as scissors, blades, clips, etc., should be disinfected with 5%NaOH (sodium hydroxide) for 1 minute after each use, and then rinse the tools impregnated with NaOH with clean water before they can be used again. To avoid the spread of virus sap on the tool on healthy plants.

5. Used old orchid bowls and media materials should not be reused and should be discarded immediately.

6. The plant spacing of the planted national orchid should be kept at a proper distance as far as possible to avoid excessive close planting, resulting in friction between the leaves of the orchid plant and the chance of mechanical injury.

7. When using insecticides to disinfect diseases and insect pests after ramets, try to avoid the method of simultaneous impregnation of multiple strains or repeated use of chemicals in the same bucket. After pruning and planting in orchid bowls and placing them on orchid racks, orchid bowls are irrigated to disinfect fruits. On the one hand, they can kill the pathogens that remain in the medium, on the other hand, they can block the spread of the virus.

8. The cultivation facilities should be arranged in a plane, and the national orchid should not be placed under the planted national orchid rack as far as possible.

9. Refuse to touch Guolan with your hand during the visit to reduce the chance of contracting the virus.

10. Remove or remove diseased leaves, roots and flowers, pick or remove them once by hand as far as possible, and take a precaution to avoid remaining on healthy Orchid strains in the spread of virus sap from hands or tools.

11. When changing the basin, the orchid bowl should be operated high to avoid contact with the old medium with residual virus.

12. Excessive flushing and spraying should be avoided when watering or spraying, which only increases the chance of leaf friction injury between orchid plants.
