(1) symptoms of the disease:

The main results are as follows: (1) irregular brown spots appear on the leaf surface, and the surface reproduct continues to expand, or swirling brown patterns appear. It's called anthracnose.

(2) small brown spots were found on the leaf surface, and then gradually expanded, and the color changed from yellow to brown, and then to dark brown; there was a yellow halo around the spot, with a slight depression in the middle. It's called iron cannon disease.

(3) the dorsal epidermis of the leaf bulges iron-brown and looks like a convex object the size of sesame. It's called rust.

(4) when the buds grow, the part near the leaf trousers (commonly known as A) is brown and flooded, and soon rotten and smells bad. It is called soft rot (commonly known as Gladiolus).

(5) the base of the corm (orchid head) blackened and rotted, and white cotton-like hyphae were produced at the disease spot, and then a small granular sclerotia was formed; the sclerotia was white at first and became brown after hardening. Its name is White Silk Disease.

(6) there are brown spots on the roots, which form annular or banded depressions and rot, leaving skin and bones. After the root is rotten, the function of absorbing water and nutrients is lost, and the leaves and corms are gradually withered and twisted, which is called root rot.

(7) irregular gray-white patches appeared on the leaf surface, chlorophyll disappeared, there were obvious depressions, and shrinkage occurred. This is the toxin disease that people who raise orchids are afraid of (Taiwan transliteration "Byras").

In addition, there are brown spot, bacterial wilt, and so on.

(2) Disease prevention:

The causes of the diseases listed are all related to the following factors:

(1) places where orchids are cultivated:

To raise orchids well, the growth habits of orchids are prophetic. Jinze, Xianxian District, Yanglan is discussed in detail in Linghai Lanyan. The root cause of orchid disease is too much sun to supply water in time, too much shade and no ventilation.

(2) Orchid planting materials:

The success or failure of orchid cultivation all depends on the appropriateness of the plant material. The orchid root is a half-air root, and the plant material that raises the orchid must be dredged and breathable before the root system can grow and flourish; on the contrary, if the plant material is hardened and the air is not smooth, how can it take root? Even if the orchid does not get sick, it will have poor calamus strength, and its offspring will be weak and weak in disease resistance. once the germs invade, they must be infected first.

(3) fertilization and maintenance:

Lamben was born in the valley. Most of its autonomous land is a slightly fertile zone, and it has an appropriate amount of humidity, so it will not be too dry, so it can grow smoothly. Ailan people move it to a set site to breed, hoping that the orchid will grow luxuriantly, lest there are not enough nutrients, continuous fertilization and high concentration. Do not know that this is counterproductive. If the orchid is fertilized too much, it not only can not grow normally, but also suffers fat injury.

(4) spraying pesticides:

Although pesticides play a certain role in disease control, excessive use of pesticides will reduce the disease resistance of orchids themselves; spraying too much pesticides will also cause drug damage. Don't be careless.

To sum up, in order to prevent orchid diseases, it is important to pay attention to the appropriate selection of orchid sites and plant materials, proper fertilization and supply, and appropriate amount of pesticide spraying. If you can follow this, the orchid will be strong, and the disease will be reduced naturally.
