According to the general saying in the past, many orchid books also wrote: orchids should be drenched in the morning or evening in the summer, not at noon, let alone under the high temperature of sunshine. In fact, this statement is not absolutely true.

In June the year before last, I saw Lan you in Shawan, Pangyu, watering all kinds of orchids (silver edge, Jinzui, white ink, etc.) under the orchid shed at about 1: 00 noon. When I came back, I tried some orchids down the mountain, which was not only harmless, but also good for the growth of orchids. In June this year, I also saw Yintuo, Silver Edge, Peach Red and White Ink of Chen Cunlan Friends in Shunde also drenched at about 12:00 on the hot day of Rizhao. So, starting from June this year, I began to drench the silver edge, white ink and downhill Yilan at noon (with sunshine and temperature of 34 degrees), afternoon (also with sunshine and temperature of 32 degrees) and evening (no sunshine and temperature of 30 degrees) on sunny days. After being drenched with water, the temperature in the orchid shed immediately dropped by 4 degrees and 5 degrees. In this way, compared with before, the effect is very obvious: there are basically no black spots on the open leaf surface; the tail of the ② leaf is not focused; and the new leaf of ③ grows well. What I do is: ① first wet the environment of the orchid shed as much as possible; ② use micro-hole flowers or nozzles to wet the leaf surface and bottom; ③ pay attention to keep the root of the orchid not too wet. Practice has proved that it makes sense to drench water at noon in summer: just like how comfortable it is to go home and take a shower after working in the hot sun and covered in sweat. Friends of Lan might as well give it a try and pray for further discussion.
