In the fifth issue of Lan 2002, Professor Liu Qingyong finally introduced the anecdotes of he Weibin and Liang Yaofen breeding Jianlan Xiaopao Hong in Fanyusha Bay. They "only use ordinary wood chaff and broken grain husks to burn the soil, and use agricultural compound fertilizer particles to dissolve and dilute them into fertilizers. Each year, four seedlings are propagated, and they are not sold for 13 years, and seven seedlings are propagated to more than 400,000 seedlings, thus becoming Dalan." Burning the earth is the key.

How to make it on the fire? Some orchid friends think that burning soil is the soil that has been burned with fire. How to burn it, you don't burn it in the stove. The fire is called the epithelium in Zhijin farmers, who are often used as base fertilizer to grow vegetables into food crops. Especially in the remote mountains, it is difficult to transport farm manure and the transportation is inconvenient. They use local materials and often use burning soil as base fertilizer to grow core wheat. During the autumn harvest, due to the rugged mountain road, far away from home, the forest wheat was threshed and carried home on the mountain, and the wheat straw was not needed.

On a sunny day, farmers shovel up the topsoil with weeds on the mountain and spread them out to dry one by one. If it doesn't rain, it will dry in three or five days. Gather the topsoil with weeds, first spread hay and dried branches on the bottom, then pile it on the dried table, light it from the bottom, burn it, and add soil while burning until it is finished. Put on what was not burned around the fire and burn it. After it is cooked, spread the mound to cool and cool. Pile it up after it is completely cold and let it rain several times. Because the burning soil is generally alkaline, after being drenched in the rain on the mountain, it gradually becomes weakly acidic and can be used as a plant material to grow orchids. This kind of fire burning the earth is "smoked by fire". Therefore, it is very good to be used as orchid plant material. First of all, through high-temperature fire fumigation, both fertilizer effect and sterilization, very sanitary; secondly, burning ash mixed with the table of weed branches, mixed with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, smoked soil also contains nitrogen fertilizer; secondly, burning soil is viscous, sparse soil has good permeability. Therefore, burning soil plus sawing wood and bran shell enhances its air permeability.

Coincidentally, when I was going up the mountain to pick orchids, in 1998, I accidentally found that the cabbages grown by farmers using burning soil as base fertilizer, especially in places where the burning soil had been piled up, grew luxuriantly. Inspired by this accidental discovery, he thought of burning native orchids. In 1999, the author specially planted two pots of Cymbidium without any root material in order to make a comparative experiment. A year later, I found that the two pots of spring orchids were very good. By the way, pull out a pot to observe the Langen, its roots grow very well, both long and white, very gratifying. From then on, I used local materials and used fire to plant orchids. According to the author's observation for several years, it is OK to burn the soil with few flowers. However, after a long time, its air permeability is poor. Therefore, sawing wood or bran shell must be added. The effect is better if a little rough rotten soil is added at the same time.

I wonder if this is the case with the production of burning earth introduced by Mr. Liu Qingyong. The author just wants to throw a brick to attract jade in his personal management.
