Wind and planting Orchid

Subsequently, many orchid friends put forward various useful opinions from many aspects, such as planting materials, fertilization, watering and so on. However, from my experience in planting orchids over the past few years, it is impossible for the whole orchid species to be small even if there are problems in management. Only when there is something wrong with the orchid environment, can the above results be produced. The author has also encountered this problem in recent years. Four years ago, because I planted more and more orchids and less places to plant orchids, when I turned the basin at the beginning of the year, there was no place for more than a dozen better varieties down the hill, and it was a pity to throw them away, so I welded two iron frames and put them on the balcony floor. The orchid basin is 20cm from the ground, and the planting material is the same as the orchid on the balcony. After the Spring Festival, the orchids on the floor sprout like the orchids on the balcony. A few months later, the new seedlings on the balcony have grown into middle seedlings, while the new seedlings of more than a dozen pots of orchids on the floor are only the height of 4-5cm. This situation continued until the end of the year. When I turned the basin the next year, I saw that the roots of the old seedlings were empty, but there were not many new ones. The author thinks that it may be caused by too soft plant material and too much water. As a result, a batch of new orchids were planted with new plants (pebbles plus orchid bark sold in the market). After another year, the orchids on the floor are the same as the previous year, the roots of the old seedlings are empty, but the new seedlings still do not grow up. In the third year, Taiwan-made orchid plants were used to manage and sprinkle water more carefully than before. As a result, the old seedling has fewer rotten roots, but the new seedling is still the same. It really puzzles the author. So I read the articles about the elements of planting orchid again in order to solve the mystery in my mind! "Wind" is the main culprit of orchids growing up. As the balcony floor is surrounded by walls, the wind can not blow all the year round, orchids can not get the moisture of the "wind", so they become small seedlings that do not grow up. In order to confirm his own point of view, it was very good to have three pots of old seedlings when he turned the pot last year. Only a few centimeters of the new seedlings of orchids have been replanted and placed on the balcony. Two months later, the three new seedlings that did not grow up last year grew again. In the second half of the year, a new seedling grew into a flower bud; a new seedling grew into a strange leaf of mahua Zhuang; and a pot grew into a normal big seedling. It can be proved that the breeze blowing orchids can not only be antiseptic, but also a necessary condition for orchids to grow.
