The onset of soft rot does not necessarily start with new shoots. The two grasses I dropped this year start with old grass. The main symptom of soft rot is that there are water-like patches from the bulb, but because it is buried in the plant, it is not easy to see it without careful observation. When we see it, the orchid leaves of the old grass slowly turn yellow upward from the bulb, then turn brown, and then break off from the false ring with the touch of the hand. At this time, the middle of the leaf to the tip of the leaf may still be green, and then look at the bulb. Has been completely blackened, if the disease is old grass, Reed head is not necessarily soft. If it is from the new grass, the symptom is that the petiole begins to turn yellow, but when it is yellow to a certain point, the leaf will be pulled out with a gentle lift of the hand, and the Reed head will become soft, and the dark brown water will flow out when pinched with the hand, and it will smell foul. Sometimes the new bud rotten heart is not soft rot, the new bud rotten heart, will also pull out the leaves, but there is no bad smell, and this kind of rotten heart only aims at the new sprouts and has little effect on the old grass, as long as the medicine can be cured in time. I once had a pot of grass with this kind of rotten heart, which at first thought it was soft rot. I was startled, but later I smelled no smell, put half of my heart, and didn't use any medicine to cure it. As soon as the real soft rot breaks out, it is extremely difficult to treat. if it starts with the old grass, it is even more difficult to treat than the new grass, because the resistance of the old grass is stronger than that of the new seedlings, and the germs that the old grass can not resist are already quite serious. the power of the outbreak of germs is quite frightening. In a very short few days, a pot of grass will be poured out, and then take the grass out to soak the medicine, it is already relatively late, and there is little chance of being saved. Soft rot is still based on prevention, pay attention to the cleaning of plants, orchid basin ventilation, find sick, quickly isolate, so as not to water, bring germs to other pots.
