On the Application of Jiuqu in Orchid cultivation
Jiuqu: a koji for making wine, also known as wine mother; also known as wine medicine: a koji for brewing yellow rice wine or Jiang rice wine.
Since the article "good mixed use of" Zhixiang "and" active soil "was issued, many inquiries have been received from Lanyou. Lanyou have expressed strong interest, and active practice has become inevitable.
In the inquiry call, there was a very special call from an orchid friend who discussed with me "the role of auxiliary fertilizer in orchid cultivation". The nearly one-hour long-distance call benefited me a lot and made me really feel that "talking with you is better than reading a ten-year book". Without the prior consent of the orchid friend, it is not convenient for me to disclose his name, but the practical experience can be published for the majority of orchid friends to discuss and learn together.
Here is an excerpt of "on the application of Jiuqu in orchid cultivation":
Since Taiwan's Amiao Lanyou promoted "active soil", he managed to get some and put it into experimental use on orchids. While using it, he carried out exploratory research on "active soil". He observed the "active soil" under a high-power microscope, and after observing it, he realized something. It occurred to me how this "active soil" is so similar to the fungus composition of rice wine-making koji (he had been in contact with "Jiuqu" before using "active soil" and studied the composition of the fungus in it). So he was so excited that he couldn't sleep.
After purchasing Jiuqu, he immediately took a group experiment, one group used "active soil" and the other group used "Jiuqu". The same amount of application, the same number of pots, the same fertilizer and water management, the strength of the plant is about the same. The same cultivation effect was achieved in the two groups of experiments. He again took out the bacteria from the two groups of substrates and looked at them under a high-power microscope, and they were the same mycelium. So he was relieved and began the "large area" use of Jiuqu in orchid cultivation.
In this phone call, he expressed his idea: the effect of the mixed use of "Zhixiang" and "active soil" is so good, then, under the premise that "Jiuqu" and "active soil" have achieved the same effect under the current microscope observation and subsequent experimental cultivation, is it possible to mix "Jiuqu" and "Zhixiang"? In theory, we jointly analyzed and reached a consensus that it can definitely be mixed and achieve the same effect. If so, it will save Lanyou a large amount of cost (specifically refers to the cost of chemical fertilizers and pesticides used in the cultivation of orchids). High-price procurement of "active soil" will be transformed into spending very little money to purchase "wine koji" with the same effect, it can be said that "good quality and low price" has been fully reflected here.
This will have a certain negative impact on the "active soil" (market impact). Here, on behalf of the Lanyou, I would like to apologize to the developers and promoters of the "active soil" and say: sorry! At the same time, long live understanding! Let a common goal be achieved: "Let the orchids of all orchids in the world grow better!"
Note: interested orchid friends might as well have a try, please seize the golden season of growth! Let's join hands and discuss together! Study together! Make progress together! (Wan Yunkun)
