Dendrobium mosaic disease
Distribution: Greenhouse cultivation, Japan more common.
Pathogen: Cucumber mosaic virus.
Parasites: Dendrobium and Miltonia.
Symptoms: chlorotic blocks and rings on leaves, different from mosaic caused by orchid mosaic virus.
Prevention and control: virus disease control is mainly to eliminate the disease, improve environmental sanitation, disinfection tools and other methods to prevent its spread. At present, the internationally recognized better disinfectant is: 1,2% formalin and 2% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution (can not be reused after turning green); 2,164 g anhydrous or 377g containing crystal water trisodium phosphate (Na3PO4) add water 1L(1000cc). Can be used to disinfect tools, environment, etc. (Chen Xinqi, Ji Zhanhe)
