Bacterial brown rot
Distribution: worldwide; more common in China, Japan and the United States.
Pathogen: erwlnta Cyprihei.
Parasitism: Cymbidium, Cypripedium, Paphiopedilum. Phalaenopsis (phalaenopsis)
Symptoms: small yellow spots like water stains appear on the leaves, and the disease spots later become chestnut brown and may sink; they often expand rapidly to continuously growing leaves, and then destroy the leaves or even the whole plant. The disease is most common in humid and warm environments.
Control: remove the diseased parts (leaves) until only short stems are left. Then use 200mg/L agricultural streptomycin, or spray 0.5% Bordeaux solution, once every 10 days, with good results. (Chen Xinqi, Ji Zhanhe)
