Mixing of particles and humus

In the past, orchid mud (humus) was used to grow orchids because of poor drainage and air permeability, which often caused rotten roots. In recent years, it has been popularized to cultivate orchids with granular materials such as "immortal soil". Although rotten roots can be overcome, the ability of preserving fertilizer and water is poor; orchid seedlings are always not strong, and there are more trees with 2 trees and 3 leaves, especially after the second year of planting. In the early spring of last year, I planted one of the pots of Fuhuisu, the lower half of which was planted with three-in-one grains such as immortal soil, while the upper part was planted with humus and a little vegetation. In October, I found that the root of the plant extends all over the surface. Practice has proved that the mixed use of granular plant material and humus is an ideal choice, which can not only increase organic matter and fertility, improve the degree of moisturizing in the basin, but also relieve the worry of rotten roots, according to the size of the basin, the texture of the basin and the dry and wet degree of the site, to determine the ratio of mixed humus soil.

In short, the soil for orchid cultivation should not only be loose and breathable, good drainage, good water storage capacity, but also rich in organic matter, good physical properties, and have the ability to retain water and fertilizer. As long as it meets the above requirements, the plant materials with their own characteristics can be mixed, and the materials can be used locally. When in use, cover the basin bottom drain with brown sheets to prevent earthworms and ants from invading people, and then throw on the porcelain porous bowl; pile charcoal or large chunks of fairy soil, put the mixed soil in the lower part, and spread a layer of humus soil on the basin surface to cover the green cloud grass, so that the basin soil will not be washed away when watered, moisturizing and beautiful, although this is the old practice, it can still be retained.

It is worth mentioning that at present, the ideal humus on the market is nothing more than mountain people to do it, mostly fake orchid mud, their own special trip to the rock crevice to get back the fine soil, after weathering, low humus content, poor ventilation, not ideal, but you can go to the pine forest to take deep larch humus, not non-rotting raw pine hair, coarse sieve to remove stones and branches, lift off this kind of civil charcoal. Plant ash is a potash fertilizer, which can promote the root system to be strong, and it is adjusted to the PH value of 52MU6, which is slightly acidic, which is the most suitable for orchid growth. At the same time, but also for disinfection, a simple way is to use the sun exposure for a few days, strive to clean, kill harmful microorganisms and insects, should keep beneficial microorganisms in the soil as much as possible.
