Cultivation materials refer to the necessary materials before planting orchids, such as orchid pots, culture, cultivation tools, cultivation objects (grass) and so on.

First, the orchid basin. Orchid basin is divided into cultivation basin and ornamental species, if the number of your orchid varieties is small and it is cultivated with balcony or indoor, it is best to choose ornamental basin. Because of the large quantity and simple open field cultivation in the blue shed, it is necessary to consider that it is beneficial to growth, reproduction and management. But no matter what kind of orchid pot you choose, you must have good air permeability, and the flowerpot with strong drainage performance is better than the flowerpot with smaller caliber, higher body, more holes at the bottom or larger.

Second, cultivate soil. The quality of the cultivated soil for orchid cultivation should be loose and breathable, and the soil with good drainage performance and containing humus or slightly acidic soil should be suitable. Other culture media should be used with caution if they have no experience or have not been tested. However, no matter what kind of culture is used, it should be used after disinfection and sterilization (soil disinfection, sun exposure or sterilization).

Third, the cultivation object. The cultivation object refers to the grade (quality) of the orchid varieties you want to cultivate. If you are a hobby, choose orchid varieties with beautiful leaves, many plants and floral fragrance. If you are a professional, you should aim at the above-mentioned orchid varieties of each grade as the breeding object. If your cultivation conditions permit, it is best to have more.
