I have been in the process of learning, learning and groping for six years. The biggest headache for me is that the scorched tips, black patches and rotten seedlings of orchid leaves are difficult to control, which is not only hindering viewing and proliferation, but also puzzling me.

My eldest daughter is ill this summer. My wife and I go to see her (she usually comes to my house). I walked across the bedroom to the northeast balcony to see some of her orchids. To my surprise, the leaves of the two pots of orchids are green and bright, and the dark light is floating. I hastened to examine carefully, a pot of Cymbidium 7 seedling grass, old, middle-aged and young three generations, did not see flower buds. A pot of 9 seedlings of Cymbidium has two flower buds. The leaves of the two pots of grass are not too long, the cymbidium is about 50 cm, and the spring orchid is not more than 20 cm. Except for the yellowing of the two foot leaves on the old grass, the other grass leaves are oil-green, without a scorched tip, and no black patches. This is the effect of cultivating orchids that I have dreamed of for several years, and it is also the highest realm of the skills of Yilan people. Then look at the basin soil, black and foaming, gently pick it with your index finger, and feel that the basin is very loose and moist. No wonder these two pots of Lanhui look so good!

My daughter doesn't like raising orchids. Her two pots of orchids are two pockets that my son dug up casually on the hillside when he went to her house the year before last. How can she raise so well? When I asked where she got it, she said she wanted to come to the greenhouse in the community, where there were a lot of piles.

I hurried downstairs to the greenhouse. A gardener was watering the flowers, so I chatted with him. The florist said that the plants they planted were all made from rotten leaves under the pine stick mixed forest on the hillside. Fallen leaves have accumulated and rotted over the years, blackening the weathered stone and soil below. But after getting it back, it can not be used immediately. Add an appropriate amount of calcium superphosphate or potassium dihydrogen phosphate and a small amount of septic tank water to mix well, at least one winter and summer heap. He said that this level is very important, rotten leaves after a long time difficult to retting, high-temperature fermentation, can kill harmful bacteria and eggs, microorganisms can reproduce in large numbers, decomposing nutrients to facilitate the absorption of flowers and trees.

It is better to listen to you than to read a ten-year book. In fact, I also understand this truth, but I just don't want to work so hard. Over the past few years, I have been greedy in raising orchids and seeking perfection, and I have mainly devoted my energy to going up the mountain to find Lanhui. Do not pay much attention to the plant material, always hold a kind of fluke mentality, take it now, or even cut corners, as a result, haste makes waste, the effect of raising orchid is not very ideal, some good Chunlan Huilan seedling reproduction rate is not high, and even the phenomenon of seedling reduction.

Recently, I saw a saying in ancient books, "those with luxuriant roots are actually successful, and those who anoint the fertile are their brilliance." I also think of the two common sayings of "deep roots" and "live and work in peace and contentment". I think these words are of great benefit to the Yilan people. To raise orchids, one must cultivate roots, and one must attach importance to planting materials. Orchids live in rotten, clean, loose and nutritious basin soil, comfortable and comfortable, free to thrive is its inevitable result. (Wang Zhitian)
