Hanging orchid is a common indoor green plant, many flower friends often complain that this hanging orchid leaf tip will not move will dry up, it is really annoying. So, how to solve the dryness of the leaf tip of the orchid?

First of all, we need to know the reason. The leaf tips of Cymbidium are dry, and there are generally the following situations:

1. The basin soil is too wet

The root of Cymbidium is fleshy and has a strong water storage capacity, so it is more resistant to drought. If the soil is too sticky and heavy, the air permeability will become worse, coupled with too much watering, the root system will rot every minute, so the root absorptive capacity will decrease, resulting in water loss of the leaf tip and blackening of the tip of the orchid. So what should we do? It is recommended to take off the pot to dry the roots, after trimming the roots, dip some plant ash, change the new soil and then re-pot, if it is the reason of too much watering, the original soil can continue to use drops.

2. the concentration of fertilization is too high.

In the field of fertilizer application, there is a rule that remains unchanged for thousands of years-thin fertilizer is applied diligently. If you fertilize too much, you will burn the roots, so friends, don't shake your hands. Hand shake star people use their own retting fertilizer, must be fully fermented, dilute and reuse, if it is troublesome, you can use pure plant fermented organic nutrient solution, according to the instructions to dilute, do not worry about fertilizer damage, apply once after 7 days, summer higher than 30c °do not need to apply fertilizer, so that the hanging orchid can rub long, the leaves are green.

3. Do not change the basin for a long time

In general, potted plants are recommended to change the basin once in 1-2 years. If the pot is not changed for a long time, the basin will be filled with old roots, the air permeability will become worse, part of the root system will be necrotic without oxygen, and the root absorptive capacity will decline, so it is easy for the leaf tip to dry and blacken. If this is the case, it is recommended to cut off the withered black leaves and bad roots, disinfect the wound and then put it on the basin, put it in a cool and ventilated place, spray more water, and so on after the orchid grows new leaves, it can be managed normally.

4. The air humidity is too low

Hanging orchids like humid environmental conditions, the air is dry, plants will feel as uncomfortable as people. When summer comes, the leaf tips of Cymbidium are easily withered and blackened. How are we going to solve this? The simplest thing is to buy a humidifier, do not have to do it yourself, or often spray water on the leaves, in addition, you can also use a tray, put some small gravel on the tray, and then put the flowerpot on the gravel to let the water evaporate naturally to achieve the effect of humidification.

5. Excessive illumination

People who bask in the sun for a long time are prone to heatstroke and dehydration, and so are plants. If the sun is too strong in summer and autumn, the temperature is too high, and water can not be supplied to the leaves in time, the orchid will also be prone to heatstroke, but without light, the leaves will easily turn yellow, so it is necessary to avoid direct sunlight in summer and autumn. 50% to 70% of the sun should be covered during the day, or put the orchid in a semi-overcast environment.

Summer is ready to come, friends should pay attention to increase the air humidity, otherwise the leaf tip of the orchid will dry up again.
