Growth habit

Native to India, it is a large deciduous tree of the genus kapok of the kapok family of Malvaceae.

Prefer a warm, dry and sunny environment

Not resistant to cold, slightly resistant to moisture, avoid stagnant water.

Drought-resistant, pollution-resistant and wind-resistant.

The suitable temperature for growth is 20-30 ℃. The lowest temperature in winter is not less than 5 ℃.

It is suitable for neutral or slightly acidic sandy soil which is deep, fertile and well drained.
