Fushou jade is a succulent plant belonging to the genus Lithospermum of Amygdalaceae. Autumn and winter are its growth periods.
Fushou jade originated from South Africa, like warm, dry, sunny environment, the most suitable growth temperature is 15~25℃.
Fushou jade drought tolerance, afraid of water, growth period every 3 weeks watering once, keep pot soil slightly wet. Not cold-resistant, winter moved to indoor sunlight sufficient for maintenance.

Change pots: change pots once every 2 years. When changing pots, mix decaying soil, culture soil and coarse sand, and add a small amount of cow dung or bone meal. Note that Fushou jade roots are few and shallow. After changing pots, put a layer of pebbles on the surface of the basin soil, which is beautiful and can play a supporting role.
Watering: keep the pot soil moist during the growth period, shade properly when the summer temperature is high, and reduce watering. Keep the pot soil slightly moist after cooling in autumn and slightly dry in winter.
Fertilization: Fertilize once every half month in the growth period, select decomposed liquid fertilizer or special organic fertilizer for meat, and stop fertilizing after flowering in autumn.
Note: In spring, Fushou jade will appear molting phenomenon, the surface will have a layer of white dead leaves, at this time, need to properly control water, so that it slowly recover.
Fushou jade reproduction method
Sowing: pot sowing is often carried out in early summer of spring, and the temperature is controlled at 19~24℃. It can germinate 7~10 days after sowing. Fushou jade has to sell oh slow growth, maintenance difficulties. Watering should be cautious, pay attention to warm winter and cool summer. It takes 2 to 3 years to flower after sowing.
