Dryopteris Dryopteris is a small epiphytic fern with a height of about 20cm and a stout stem with branches that drag out of the flowerpot. The rhizome is exposed, with brown scales and hair on the surface, like a rabbit's foot, so it is also known as the rabbit foot fern. The leaf is a broad egg-shaped triangle, pinnate compound leaf, leathery, the leaf surface has a sense of gloss, smooth dark green.

Growth habits of Dryopteris Dryopteris

Dryopteris requires high temperature, neither high temperature nor low temperature. The suitable growth temperature is 20 ℃-26 ℃. It will slow down or stop growing above 30 ℃ or below 15 ℃, and can not be lower than 5 ℃ in winter. Wolftail fern likes warm, dry environment and is not cold-resistant; it likes loose, fertile and well-drained sandy loam. In winter, it needs to be moved into a greenhouse to survive the winter. The greenhouse is kept at about 5 ℃ to prevent freezing.
