Tang Yin

Last Updated: 2024/12/22, Tang Yin is a perennial succulent herb of the family crassulaceae and Brassica campestris. It is native to Cape Town and Delance in South Africa. The leaf color is light green, covered with a thick layer of white powder, showing grayish green, and the leaf edge has a circle of red lines. In the cool season and in the sunny outdoors, there will be gradual red spots, which has a good ornamental value.

The growth habits of Tang Yin

Tang Yin originated in South Africa. Like warm, dry and sunny environment. I can't bear the cold. Resistant to drought, not resistant to water temperature.

Favorite temperature: 15-20 ℃

Watering: watering 1-2 times a week during the growing period

Light: plenty of sunshine all day

Propagation: most of the propagation methods are cutting and leaf cutting propagation.

Diseases and insect pests: leaf spot, whitefly, etc.

Maintenance skills of Tang Yin

Basin soil: change the basin every spring. A mixture of rotten leaf soil, culture soil, and coarse sand.

Watering: the growth cycle is watered 1-2 times a week to keep the basin soil moist, but not stagnant water. When the temperature drops in autumn and winter, reduce watering. Watering is strictly controlled in midsummer and winter. Leaves turn red in winter in bright light.

Fertilization: fertilize once a month during the growing period, using diluted cake fertilizer or "Huiyou" 15-15-30 special fertilizer for potted flowers.

The mode of reproduction of Tang Yin

Cutting: cut the mature top branch during the growing period, wait for the cut to dry, insert it into the sand bed, take root in 8-10 days, and then pot after 1 week.

Leaf insertion: cut the growing and full leaves, lay them on the sand bed, spray and moisturize them. They can take root 10-15 days after insertion. When the leaves grow into adventitious buds and form young plants, they will be put on the pot.
