Maintenance skills of Bear Boy

Plant type: change the basin every spring. When the plant is 15 cm high, the heart must be removed to promote branching. When the plant growth is too high, it needs to be pruned to reduce the plant type. Cuttings should be renewed after 4-5 years.

Watering: watering is carried out every 2 weeks during the growing period to keep the basin soil moist. Spray around the plant when it is hot in summer. Winter enters the dormant period, and the basin soil remains dry.

Fertilization: fertilize once a month. Use diluted cake fertilizer or "Huiyou" 15-15-30 special fertilizer for potted flowers. If there is not enough light and too much fertilizer and water, it will cause the stem node to elongate.

The mode of reproduction of bear boys

Sowing: indoor pot sowing from March to April, the optimum temperature for germination was 20-22 ℃, and germinated 12-14 days after sowing, the seedlings grew fast.

Cutting: cut the full top branch in spring and autumn, 5-7 cm long, insert it in the sand bed, take root 2-3 weeks after cutting, and the survival rate is high. Single-leaf cuttings can also be used, but the growth is slightly slower.
