Morphological characteristics of Xiaoyu

Xiaoyu is a small variety, easy to grow in groups, has small branches, and the stem is fleshy. The stem will gradually become semi-lignified after a long time, but it will not be erect and basically creeping, because the leaves are too heavy, and the branches are thin and weak, and the stem can not support the weight.

Xiaoyu leaves are short shuttle-shaped, smooth and thick, green to dark red or purplish red in color, especially dark red in late autumn and early spring when the temperature difference is large.

The growth habit of Xiaoyu

Temperature

Xiaoyu is a little hardy, and the water will be cut off slowly below 5 ℃. The suitable temperature for growth is 8-28 ℃.

Light

Xiaoyu Xiguang can be maintained all day long. Pay attention to sunscreen in high temperature in summer to avoid burning leaves.

Maintenance skills of Xiaoyu

Soil

Planting soil should be made up of loose, breathable and well drained soil.

Watering

Xiaoyu can be given enough water in the spring and autumn growing season to let Xiaoyu grow fully.

High temperature and rainy weather in summer should be watered to avoid rain and stagnant water in the heart of the plant, so as to prevent the plant from rotting due to hypoxia.

Winter maintenance when the temperature is below 5 degrees, the water can be cut off. Keeping the basin soil dry is often safe through the winter.

The mode of reproduction of Xiaoyu

Branch cutting: the cut branches can be dried in a ventilated place for a few days, and then planted in the damp soil after the mountain pass is healed, or directly cut in the dry granular soil, with a small amount of water supply after a few days.

Leaf insert: small jade leaf insertion is also relatively easy to succeed. Lay the complete leaves in a semi-dry pot soil, wait for the seedlings to explode, and cover the soil after rooting.
