Pesticides: what are the hazards of pesticides? The banned fenpril insecticide poisoned millions of bees.
Millions of bees poisoned by the banned drug Fempney! There are reports of victims in central Puli Caotun. What's going on? Let's take a look together.
FENPONI: It is a pesticide, animal drug and environmental drug. It acts as a neurotoxin and has an immediate effect on insects. There are three uses and application areas, including 4.95% aqueous suspension for broad-spectrum insecticide use (banned), granules for rice and corn pest control (0.3% Fenpronil granules), and drops for flea control in dogs and cats (e.g. product "Flea Less").
The pesticide Fenpronil has been banned for three years (4.95% aqueous suspension), but it continues to circulate in the market. After affecting millions of eggs throughout Taiwan last year and causing a large number of bee deaths in Puli, this year it caused acute poisoning deaths in Central Mifeng. Bee farmers roughly estimate that the number of victims is as high as several hundred boxes, resulting in the acute death of millions of bees. Feng Haidong, director of the Bureau of Prevention and Inspection of the Council of Agriculture, said that Finney is still illegally circulated and even smuggled into Taiwan. In response to the bee poisoning case in central China, it has received a clear report. The Bureau of Prevention and Inspection encourages all people to report it and can receive high rewards.
Wu Zixian, director of the silkworm and bee division of Miaoli District Agricultural Improvement Farm, said that in mid-August this year, beekeepers reported that bees had acute poisoning symptoms. After sampling and sending tea to the field for analysis, it was confirmed that it was caused by pesticide Fenpronil. Finpronil is acutely toxic to bees and can be affected in minute residues. In addition to the highest number of fenpronil, eight other pesticides were detected, including tausone, edamine and befentanyl.
Let's stop using harmful pesticides, which are not only bad for people, but also bad for the environment, and affect the death of millions of bees.
