(1) disinfection of tools, articles and seedlings.

70% alcohol, bleach, permethrin, potassium permanganate.

(2) fungicides.

Topiramate, dimethazone, mancozeb, chlorothalonil, Bordeaux solution, methomyl.

(3) agents for the control of bacteria.

Fungicides, benzoylammonium, streptomycin.

(4) insect control agents.

Pyrethroids, omethoate, fish rattan essence, clenbuterol, quick kill.

All the above pesticides should be used in strict accordance with the instructions. If the dilution for ink orchid is not listed in the manual, the water can be mixed according to the dilution of general flowers or vegetables, but it should be more sparse.

(5) pruning and changing pots.

Old leaves should be cut off or removed when they are yellow or dry to facilitate ventilation. Those with seriously diseased leaves should also be cut off in time to avoid infection. When cutting off diseased leaves, scissors should be sterilized in order to cut healthy leaves to avoid infection. Some of the flowers have withered a few days after each flowering, so the whole flower should be cut off in time so as not to consume nutrients and affect the germination of new buds and the growth of new flower branches.

Pot change is usually carried out in combination with ramets, usually once every two years, preferably in the dormant period after flowering, or in spring and autumn.

After the orchid plant is poured out, you should carefully shake off the old plant material, rinse it with water, cut off the old residual orchid root, sort out the plant connection points or connection bands between the plants, and cut them with scissors after seeing them clearly, so as not to harm the healthy roots. The cut can be smeared with plant ash or sulfur powder to prevent infection. Ramets can sometimes grasp an orchid head with each hand, and then rotate and twist to separate it. The above ramet work should be clear and skillful to prevent damage to the roots, buds, flower branches and small buds and scape on the orchid head. After the ramet, leave it in a cool place to dry, wait for the root to be soft, then plant according to the above method. (Yan Xueliang)
