Fusarium wilt
The disease harms the hated parts of Cartland, Oncidium, Dendrobium and orchids, and its pathogen is Fusarium oxysporum Fusarlum orysPorlum. The pathogen invades the plant through the root or through the incision of the new ramet. In severe cases, the diseased plant dies within 3-9 weeks after infection. In general, the diseased plant can maintain a weak state and survive for more than one year. In this case, the symptoms in the upper part of the diseased woodland are similar to those caused by Rhizoctonia solani, that is, the leaves are yellow and twisted and the false bulbs are thin. Both diseases cause extreme decay. The diagnostic symptoms of Fusarium wilt are banded or annular purple lesions in the epidermis and lower epidermis of the rhizome, and the vascular bundles are pink and purple, and finally the whole rhizome is invaded and turns purple. As the disease develops, the rot will spread into the false bulb.
The prevention and treatment is to remove and destroy all infected parts and move the plants into flowerpots filled with fresh substrates. 50% wettable powder of benzoate has a very good effect on the prevention and treatment of the disease. The diseased plants were soaked or poured in water for 5 minutes with a concentration of 1000 times. If necessary, reuse it 1 times within two weeks. (Liu Zhongjian)
