The survival rate of triangulated plum cuttings with these things is almost 100%. It takes root quickly and does not hurt the root.

Several batches of triangular plum seedlings were inserted, including sand, half-soil and half-sand, water and water. It was found that the maintenance of the seedlings was particularly troublesome and time-consuming, and the important thing was that the survival rate was quite low (probably related to the fact that I did not use rooting agents). It made me feel hurt and tired! Recently, I saw some flower friends sprout seeds with sponges! First of all, I am a lazy person, so after more than a month of experiment, preliminary success, specially sorted out, for flower friends' reference, and joint research and improvement.

Material preparation:

A sponge, a wire netting, a shallow basin without a bottom hole (how can you find a sponge? Generally speaking, a lot of dishes are made of this kind of cotton, so it is not difficult to find, and this kind of thing is often placed under the soft sofa; Tieshawang hardware store can buy it, or you can use drainage boards instead; shallow pots usually use pots that grow daffodils. See the figure below)

Method of operation:

1. Cut the sponge into 2cm long X2 cm wide X 3cm high squares with a knife (scissors), then drill a hole (deep 2.8cm) in the 2X2 face with a screwdriver, then soak the sponge in boiling water (sterilize) and set aside.

2. Take a section of triangular plum branch, about 10cm long, leave two leaves cut in half (same as general cuttings), and treat them with rooting agent for 12 hours to promote rooting, which is very important (because I have no rooting agent, so the branches have not been treated, and because it is an experiment, they are popular lovers, green leaves and bright red branches.)

3. Insert the branches into the hole of the sponge, as deep as 2.8cm, and soak the sponge with water (cold boiled water is the best). Let the sponge absorb enough water and take it out.

4. Put a little water in the shallow basin, put the iron gauze net on the top of the shallow basin, put the inserted triangular plum branches, and use a transparent cup (you can also cut half of it with a mineral water bottle, as long as you like it. If the number of cuttings is large, a cover can be made of iron wire, which can be connected to the whole cover of the shallow basin. Cover the branches to moisturize, you can take off the cup properly to breathe. At this point, the cutting is complete.

Daily maintenance:

Put the cuttings in the ventilated and bright place of the balcony, usually as long as you pay attention to replenishing the moisture of the sponge, do not let the sponge be killed. 10 days after insertion, the cup can be removed and scattered light can be seen according to the actual situation. Half a month later, you can bask in the sun before 9 o'clock in the morning. Varieties with good rooting will take root in about 25 to 30 days. I inserted the green leaves bright red, 25 days to see the root drilled out of the sponge, this is the photo taken after 27 days, this time can be on the basin, when the basin together with the sponge buried in the soil.

This is the photo taken today after potting. It has been 35 days since the cuttage, and the seedlings are growing well.

Summary:

Sponge root promoting method, taking advantage of the advantages of sponge breathable and moisturizing, shallow basin + iron gauze net solves the problem of ventilation very well, coupled with good climatic conditions, after my experiments, the survival rate of seedlings is quite high. The survival rate of the two batches reached 100% (public lovers are not the same), which is very suitable for planting precious varieties (the so-called precious, varies from person to person! I feel that what I don't have is precious.
