Many flower friends envy Yunnan's succulent appearance, so they copy the online maintenance method and apply it to their own succulent body. In fact, there are differences in climate between the north and the south, so it is not possible to copy them. Today, according to the differences between the north and the south, Huahua will tell you how friends in the north and south should manage succulent plants.

The south enters the summer stage.

Take Nanjing, Jiangsu Province as an example, the highest temperature during the day is close to 30 degrees, as if to enter the rhythm of summer. Therefore, friends in the south are going to spend the summer succulent.

1. Sunshade

Now the sun is relatively strong in the south, it is best to put succulent plants in the shadow of the south balcony (windowsill), or use shading nets to provide a relatively cool and weak summer environment for succulent plants.

Note: do not worry about exposure to sun exposure because the meat color is not good-looking after sunshade, which can easily cause succulent sunburn. Once you get a sunburn, it takes a long time to recover.

2. Good ventilation

Good ventilation is also an important condition for succulent plants in summer. Good ventilation can prevent the breeding of bacteria, speed up water evaporation, and avoid hot and humid environment. It is suggested that flower friends in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and southwestern regions should be equipped with small fans.

Note: friends who like to cool the succulent spray must be carried out under good ventilation conditions, and it is best to blow dry the water droplets accidentally dripping from the center of the leaf.

3. Watering

Try to choose to water in the evening or at night, the night without light and ventilation environment, easy to make water evaporation, not easy to accumulate water.

Note: do not water at noon and in the afternoon, be careful not to water the leaf core when watering, otherwise, the stagnant water in the leaves, coupled with direct sunlight, is easy to cause leaf burns.

4. Prepare loose and breathable soil

Soil is also an important condition for succulent plants to spend the summer successfully. Coarse sand and peat soil can be mixed at the ratio of 7:3, so that the soil is loose and permeable and is not easy to accumulate water.

Note: can not control watering, like more watering friends, can appropriately increase the particles in the soil, enhance water permeability, so as to avoid stagnant water causing rotten roots.

Now, the temperature in the north is gradually stabilizing and the light is getting better. At this time, the succulent plants can be moved out to bask in the sun.

1. Bask in the sun

First put the succulent plant behind the balcony of the partition window to illuminate, and pay attention to opening the window for ventilation. After getting used to it for about two weeks, just move the succulent plant to a sunny day.

Note: do not move the indoor succulent plant directly to the direct sunlight. It is difficult for the succulent plant to adapt to the sudden change of environment leading to sunburn. Try to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 to 3pm.

2. Watering

The succulent plant in this period is in a period of rapid growth, so timely watering is very necessary. You can use the soaking pot method, put the flowerpot in the water for three or five minutes, and wait until there are no bubbles at all, which means it is soaked.

Note:

1. In cloudy days, there is less or no watering, because lack of light and too much moisture will lead to succulent growth.

2. It is found that the folds of the leaves are uneven, which indicates that the succulent plants are short of water and should be watered immediately until there is water flowing out from the bottom of the basin.

3. Temperature difference

Light and temperature difference are two magic weapons for succulent coloring. The temperature difference in spring itself is about 10 degrees, so if you want to color, you can gradually move the succulent plant outside.

Note: although the temperature in the north is gradually stable, we must pay attention to the weather forecast to avoid succulent frostbite caused by sharp cooling.
