Gardenia jasminoides

Gardenia is well raised and can bloom a lot of flowers, and the buds before and after can bloom for more than half a month. When it comes to flowers, you may wonder: why can't my family open so much?

Gardenia does not blossom, blossoms slowly, blossoms less may be the following situations:

1. Lack of light

In particular, gardenia, which has been raised for 1-2 years, has not bloomed at the end of spring. What on earth is going on? Huahua answer: the light is not enough!

Although gardenia likes shade and can be raised indoors, it needs sufficient light to bear buds after overwintering, and the sun is not fierce in spring, so move the gardenia to the sun to bask in the sun.

2. Soil Alkalization

Gardenia, which has been cultivated for more than a year, will not blossom because the flower soil has become alkaline. Gardenia likes acidic soil. In some areas, the soil and water is alkaline, and it will be alkalized when poured.

When watering gardenia, the tap water had better precipitate for a few days and then water it.

You can also add a few drops of vinegar to the tap water (the ratio of water to vinegar 1000 / 3) and pour it 2-3 times a month. The following picture shows the comparison before and after pouring vinegar water.

The environment of some flower friends' homes is better. You can pick up Rain Water to water it. Rain Water is acidic. It couldn't be better to water gardenia after a few days of precipitation.

3. Insufficient pruning

Some flower friends think that gardenia grows slowly, even if it doesn't care about it. In the end, it is cluttered with branches and consumes a lot of nutrients, which is not enough to blossom.

Gardenia jasminoides can be pruned after flowering in May-July or dormant period after December, cut off the twigs slightly, keep 3 bud points on one branch, heal in a ventilated place after cutting, or smear carbendazim disinfection.

In addition to pruning, the general thin-leaf gardenia can also pinch the heart and cut off the residual flowers.

The remnant flower can also be cut off, pay attention to the cutting position in the Lignification part of the flower stalk.

After pruning, Gardenia jasminoides grows better, has more concentrated nutrition, more natural buds and blossoms.

4. Diseases and insect pests

Green insects, red spiders and scale insects are easy to appear on gardenia. despite the fact that the insects are small, they can spread as long as they are ignored for a day, which really makes the scalp numb!

If there is a green worm, just clip it off with chopsticks.

If it is a red spider or scale insect, you can put the flowerpot in a big bag and light it with insecticide-repellent incense. You don't have to burn the whole plate. It will take 20 minutes to smoke it.

If there are fewer bugs, you can spray it with a sprinkler.

In order to prevent the breeding of insects, gardenia had better be placed in a ventilated place. Do not accumulate water in the basin soil. If you want to water it, you should see if the soil is dry and then watered.

Rose

A normal rose can open 5-6 flowers, see the rose raised by God always feel that it is a "flowering machine", do a good job of the following points, our family can also develop like this!

1. Be fat enough

Rose likes fertilizer, flowering must be enough fertilizer to do, usually we can buy slow-release fertilizer, flower-promoting fertilizer, compound fertilizer, according to the instructions to use more convenient

We can also make use of the resources at home to make our own flower fertilizer, and the effect is also lever drop.

Soy rice and soybeans can be soaked for 3-4 weeks and the flowers can be watered with water.

Seal the melon peel in the mixed soil for a month, and then add 10-20 grams to the flower soil every 10 days.

If you have the conditions, you can mix some chicken dung and sheep dung in the flower soil.

2. Bask in the sun

If you like the light of the rose, you'd better be in the sun all day, and the more the flowers bloom, the more prosperous they will be. In addition to raising in the open air, we can also plant it on the south balcony, or if we have a well-lit windowsill at home.

3. Disease control

Rose is easy to attract insects to get sick, powdery mildew, leaf-cutting wasps, aphids and so on seriously affect budding and blooming, so kill quickly!

If you find it early, not many worms will be crushed to death, or sprayed with a sprinkler. Insects concentrated on a branch can be cut off directly, and if there are more, they can be sprayed with imidacloprid solution to kill insects.

For leaf-cutting bees, you can put armyworm boards near the rose, and all the big insects and small insects will stick!

As the temperature increases, bugs are more likely to breed. We can prevent them in advance. When watering, we should pay attention to cleaning the leaves and keeping them clean.

4. Pruning blind branches

When the nutrition is insufficient, the rose is easy to produce blind branches and blind buds.

Blind shoots will not grow into useful branches, so cut them off in time to preserve nutrition, but keep the buds below when cutting.

The blind buds on the branches should be removed, so that the main rod of the rose can grow stronger and stronger, concentrate nutrition and blossom!
