Inflorescence 20 cm tall, apex curved, florets ca. 1 cm long, campanulate, red.

Chihuahua likes warm, dry and sunny environment, drought tolerance, not resistant to water and humidity, no obvious dormancy period.

Maintenance guide

1. Temperature. Succulent Chihuahua prefers warmer weather with a big temperature difference between day and night. The lowest temperature should be kept above 7 ℃. It's better to keep it indoors when the temperature is low in winter.

two。 In terms of watering. Succulent Chihuahua is a drought-tolerant plant and should not be watered more, so the amount of watering must be controlled well. if you water too much, it will easily cause stagnant water and lead to rotting roots. The soil should be thoroughly dry before watering in summer, and the basin soil should be kept dry in winter.

3. The soil. The planting soil of succulent Chihuahua can generally be mixed with peat and perlite or sandy soil with good permeability, and then mixed with bone powder containing calcareous materials.

4. In terms of light. Succulent Chihuahua is more sunny. In summer, just put it in a place with plenty of ventilation and sunshine, such as a windowsill.

5. In terms of fertilization. The growing period of succulent Chihuahua is relatively slow, so you don't need too much fertilizer, usually once every 20 days or so.

6. In terms of reproduction. Early spring is a good time for succulent Chihuahua to reproduce. You can pluck off the sturdy leaves and lay them flat, which will quickly form fine buds, and then slowly wait for it to grow into an independent plant.

Mainly to leaf cutting and cutting, because of its slow growth, leaf cutting is a more common way of reproduction. If the sturdy leaves are taken off and laid flat, they will soon take root and sprout, but it will take a long time to grow into independent plants.

7. Cultivation techniques

Cultivation is not too difficult, the arrangement of leaves will be very tight when there is sufficient sunshine, and water should be reduced and shaded properly in summer. Too much water is easy to rot. Because of its slow growth, the soil does not have to contain too much fertilizer. It is more hardy in winter. Early spring is the most beautiful season of this variety.

PS: there are several reasons why Chihuahua leaves become soft during maintenance.

The first reason is that it is overwatered. Chihuahua likes a cool and dry environment, is not resistant to moisture and is afraid of stagnant water. So keep the Chihuahua growing environment dry and don't water it frequently.

The second reason is that there is not enough sunshine. Chihuahua likes a sunny environment and is resistant to drought. The growth of all things depends on the sun, so put the chihuahua in a sunny place.

The third reason is that the temperature is too low. Chihuahua has to grow at a temperature of 15-20 degrees Celsius, and the temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius. It can't be less than five degrees in winter.

Chihuahua soil should also be nutritious, generally can use peat, vermiculite and perlite mixed soil, and add the right amount of bone powder. It can also be mixed with 3 parts of rotten leaf soil, 3 parts of river sand, 1 part of garden soil and 1 part of slag.

Summer high temperature moderate shade, ventilation and water-saving, winter growth period fertilization is generally once every 20 days; propagation methods are generally ramet, cutting and sowing propagation.
