Beginners talk about how to distinguish water injury, fat injury, drug injury and drought injury from the leaf surface.
I am a novice. I have been raising orchids for more than 2 years. I have taken many detours, but I still don't understand a lot of things. Now the orchid book is much better, teach you how to do with too much water, how to do with fat injury, what to do if you get hurt by medicine? There are also a lot of black spot, brown rust, brown spot, stem rot, root rot, white silk, anthrax and so on. It dazzled us. Originally, maybe the orchid didn't have a serious disease, but after some treatment, the grass might be poured immediately!
I collected some photos from my breeding process. I hope it will be of some help to the novice. If there is anything wrong, I hope you will criticize and correct it! Because I am also a novice, whether today's article is correct or not, I hope it is a brick and can lead to more jade. Hope to see more experience and exchanges of experts on the website.
I think this is due to fat damage, which is characterized by the fact that the new seedlings grow better, but the old seedlings will start to turn yellow from the roots, especially if they are not strong at all, there will be more yellowing leaves.
This is also a fertilizer hazard, if this happens, water less if it is not serious, and then change the plant material if it is serious for a period of time.
The same is fertilizer damage, in several diseases, fertilizer damage is relatively small, rarely serious enough to fall seedlings.
Drought damage, this picture is not good, I really can not find a picture of drought damage, because the climate in Shanghai is relatively humid, it is not easy to do it. Basically, the leaves are yellow, soft and bent outward, and there are wrinkles on the leaves. It doesn't count if the leaves start to grow and skin up. Just pay attention to watering. If you dry for a long time, the root will be empty and the root will be withered.
This is a water hazard, in fact, it is not breathable. Novices must not read the book to water once a few days, different regions, especially different plant materials, the number of watering is absolutely different, watering must be their own to explore, I water here once a week to once a week, or the use of coarse plant material. Some people have good ventilation control, and the plant material is clean, so they can be watered every day, and it is no problem for the flowerpot to get wet every day. It is recommended that beginners fill an empty basin with the same plant material and pour it out every few days to see if it is dry and wet. You will have experience after a few times.
Drug damage, do not regard it as brown spot disease, drug damage prevention and control methods are the same as fertilizer damage.
Water damage, fertilizer damage, drug damage will cause orchid discomfort, resistance decline, if other bacteria invade, and then the formation of brown spot, black spot, stem rot, soft rot and so on, this time should be treated differently according to different conditions. It is a special idea that germs are divided into bacteria and fungi, do not use the wrong medicine. For these two kinds of bacteria are different drugs to treat, many novices found that the use of drugs, bacteria did not kill, orchids are not good at this time one of the reasons. General streptomycin treats bacteria, carbendazim and methyl topiramate treat fungi.
Finally, the use of medicine is not king, the orchid strong, naturally can have resistance, orchids are also very vitality, their own resistance, it is best not to use medicine.
