Control of rational Diseases of Orchid Peanut
The rational disease of orchid peanut, also known as non-infectious disease, is caused by unsuitable cultivation environment and maintenance measures other than pathogens. Such as the temperature is too high and too low, the light is too strong and too weak, water and fertilizer imbalance, lack of elements, improper use of drugs, harmful gases in the air, toxic substances on the ground pollution and so on. The main types and symptoms of common physiological diseases in orchids are:
Cold injury and summer injury accidentally encountered wind, snow, cold current and continuous low temperature in late winter and early spring, which exceeded the cold tolerance limit of orchid plants, causing freezing damage to orchid tissues or organs, light damage to orchid leaves and death to the whole plant. When the temperature is above 35 ℃ in hot summer, the orchid leaves are burned by baking, the leaves turn green or yellow, and the blue roots are withered.
The overcast and sunburn orchid plants have been cultivated in the orchid shed or orchid room for a long time. Due to the lack of light, the orchid leaves grow light green and the vitality is not prosperous. In midsummer, the orchid pot is placed in the open air or the shade of the orchid shed is too small, resulting in sunburn, resulting in the yellowing of the orchid leaves.
Drought and waterlogging if the water is insufficient, the air is dry, resulting in slow growth, dwarfism, yellow leaves, and even wilting and death of orchid plants. Watering too frequently, the amount of water is too large, resulting in stagnant water in the basin, soil hypoxia, resulting in orchid leaves yellowing, shedding, serious rotting root death.
Deficiency of nutrients means deficiency of nutrients. Some data show that the lack of nitrogen fertilizer in plant nutrients will lead to light green new leaves, yellowing of old leaves, premature senescence of plants, dark green leaves of phosphorus deficiency, delayed growth period, scorched leaf tips and spots on the leaf surface of potassium deficiency, chlorosis between iron deficiency veins, even yellowish or whitening, and copper deficiency young leaves wilting and showing white spots.
Poisoning is contaminated by harmful gases, the soil contains toxins, orchid plants do not grow well, leaves are burned, and roots are damaged.
Finding the right cause, treating the disease, making up for the deficiency and overcorrecting are the basic principles for the prevention and control of rational diseases of orchid peanut. It is required that in the course of cultivation and maintenance, we should provide all the necessary conditions for the growth of orchids as far as possible, and strive to create an excellent ecological environment suitable for the growth of orchids, that is, timely adjust the light, temperature, humidity and pH according to different seasons and different growth periods. Scientific watering, rational fertilization, pay attention to ventilation and ventilation, try to avoid or reduce the occurrence of unscientific and unreasonable phenomena causing diseases. As long as these aspects are grasped, there will be no physiological diseases. Even if there is an occasional mismanagement and illness, it is not difficult to control and recover. (Zhu Fengshan)
