Foliar fertilization of Orchid
The leaves of Lanhui have stomata, the lower one accounts for about 85%, and the upper one accounts for about 15%. During plant photosynthesis and respiration, the stomata are the gateway for the flow of gas and water in and out of the leaves. We dilute the fertilizer into a very thin solution and spray it on and off the leaves. The method of applying fertilizer into human leaves by stomata or expansion is called foliar fertilization. The advantages of this method are: (1) rapid fertilizer effect; (2) economy; (3) for rotten root orchid plants, it is the only way to supplement its fertilizer; (4) it is not easy to hurt the roots; (5) it will not cause too much water in the basin and cause poor ventilation.
The good effect of fertilization is also related to the brightness, air permeability, irrigation and other factors of the orchid room. The maximum effect can be achieved only when photosynthesis is exuberant, and if the orchid room is dark and poorly managed, although according to the above method, even if you apply fertilizer diligently, the effect is bound to decrease.
