Wang Xiaobing, deputy director of the Market and Economic Information Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, said a few days ago that the development of rural e-commerce is an important means to accelerate the transformation of China's agricultural development mode, but at the present stage, China's rural e-commerce is in the process of development. it is also faced with three major pain points: high costs, difficult profits and the proliferation of fake goods.

Wang Xiaobing said at the first China E-commerce Industry Investment and Cross-Border Summit Forum held here that there are three major pain points in the development of rural e-commerce in China: first, the development of e-commerce was originally an important channel to reduce the transaction costs of agricultural products. but the fact is that in order to meet the personalized and accurate consumption needs of consumers, many agricultural products e-commerce platforms mainly rely on fragmented express delivery in logistics and transportation. The cost has not come down. Second, for agriculture, the vast majority of e-commerce platforms still do not make money; third, e-commerce should be the most trusted platform, but the current situation is that there are many fakes on the agricultural products e-commerce platform.

Wang Xiaobing believes that in order to achieve the sustainable development of rural e-commerce, we must first correctly handle the relationship between the market and the government, and the government should provide a better environment, including policy environment, institutional environment, market supervision environment, and so on. At the same time, it is necessary to vigorously develop cross-border e-commerce platforms for agricultural products and expand overseas markets. It is necessary to study how to seize the opportunity to implement "Belt and Road Initiative" and other national strategies. While increasing imports, especially the imports of resource products, it is necessary to find ways to make China's high-quality and characteristic agricultural products "go out" using cross-border e-commerce platforms.

It is reported that the "first China E-commerce Industry Investment and Cross-Border Summit Forum" was hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of International Investment, at which the e-commerce working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Investment was established to discuss issues such as how to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce with the help of Chinese business organizations stationed abroad and the "Belt and Road Initiative" strategy.
