The Ministry of Agriculture promotes the mechanization of the whole production of major crops

In August this year, the Ministry of Agriculture issued the "opinions on carrying out the whole process Mechanization Promotion Action for the production of Major crops" and deployed throughout the country to carry out the whole process mechanization promotion action for the production of major crops. The "opinion" points out that in 2020, the comprehensive mechanization level of crop cultivation and harvest in China will reach more than 68%, of which the comprehensive mechanization level of the three major grain crops will all reach more than 80%. The level of mechanized plant protection, mechanized straw treatment and mechanized drying treatment has been greatly improved. Taking the main producing areas of grain, cotton, oil and sugar as the key areas, about 500 demonstration counties will be built that are the first to basically realize the mechanization of the whole production process.

Comments: after more than 10 years of rapid development of agricultural mechanization in China, the comprehensive mechanization level of major crops has exceeded 60%. However, the current development of agricultural mechanization urgently needs to change the mode and adjust the structure. There is an urgent need for full-range and high-quality mechanized products as a support. It is under this background that the "opinion" came into being. At this year's industry event, China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, China's backbone agricultural machinery enterprises have focused on a certain link of agricultural mechanization in the past to full mechanization, showing the full mechanization solutions of seven major crops, which fully reflects the market demand and points out the development path of agricultural mechanization in the future.
