Reporters learned from the Central Grain Reserve Working Conference held on the 5th that in 2015, China Grain Reserve purchased 175 million tons of policy grain in total, exceeding 100 million tons for the third consecutive year, setting a new record high. A total of 18.5 million tons of policy grain were auctioned throughout the year, efficiently completing the task of transferring 3 million tons across provinces, one month ahead of the required time limit.

By the end of November 2015, the total amount of grain and oil managed by China Grain Storage Corporation accounted for 75% of the national inventory, and the total assets exceeded one trillion yuan for the first time. The market control and influence of enterprises have been continuously enhanced, and the operation quality has been further improved. According to the inspection results organized by relevant state departments, in 2015, the consistency rate of grain accounts under the central authority of grain storage management was 100%, and the appropriate storage rate of central grain reserves remained above 95%.

In 2015, China Grain Reserve ushered in the climax of investment in warehouse construction and warehouse maintenance, with unprecedented construction scale. In the whole year, 187 central investment projects were implemented, with a construction capacity of 23.1 billion jin. The newly added scientific and technological grain storage scale is 15 million tons, and the application scope of grain storage science and technology is further expanded. Through vigorous promotion of scientific and technological grain storage, the storage loss of central grain reserves has dropped significantly from 1.33% in 2014 to 0.81% in 2015, with a direct loss of about 400 million yuan.
