New roots do not grow well. After several twists and turns, the orchid seedling is in a state of conservative inhibition. The resistance is very weak, the root-cutting wound has not yet healed, and it is very easy to be infected with diseases. In addition to the use of weakly acidic humus soil or general plain soil, do not use base fertilizer. Due to environmental changes, the function of orchid seedlings slowly recovered in the humid substrate after potting, but this was a long "potted period". During this period, because the function of orchid root was not fully restored, it basically did not absorb fertilizer in the soil. It all depends on the nutrients stored in the pseudobulb to supply the roots, leaves and buds. When the orchid bacteria are gradually produced, the hyphae are dense, and the orchids are suitable for orchid growth, and when they are almost covered with orchid pots, the orchid seedlings will completely return to normal, and their resistance can be enhanced and a little thin fertilizer can be applied. This process takes about 1-2 years. Although there is no fertilization during this period, orchid seedlings can still grow and develop normally and slowly, because the nutrients produced by orchid bacteria can basically meet the needs of orchid seedlings at this stage.

If the orchid is not strong, it will not be applied. In the "fertile basin period", if the development of the orchid plant is abnormal, the new buds cannot be drawn, and the orchid leaves are grayish green, no light and no gloss, and the leaves are drooping and scorched, indicating that the old roots continue to rot and the new roots do not grow. At this time, you must not apply fertilizer. You can only spray fertilizer on the leaves regularly to supplement nutrition. If you still cannot return to normal, you will have to disinfect the seedlings and change the soil to replant.

New buds do not grow and do nothing. When the orchid seedlings on the pot took out leaf buds, it showed that the orchid bacteria had initially formed, the new roots gradually grew out and began to absorb nutrients, but at this time the new roots were still very short and few, and the function was very weak. In order not to affect its development, no fertilizer can be applied. You can't apply a little fertilizer until the new bud grows to 15 centimeters high.

Do not apply flower buds until they are full. In early autumn, the new roots become stronger and stronger, and if the flower buds are not full or even deformed, it shows that the function of the root is still not exuberant, can only barely meet the reproductive growth, can not meet the vegetative growth. This kind of orchid which is not strong enough can not be fertilized, and it still needs to be supplemented by foliar spraying.

Grasp the time of the season "five do not apply"

Early spring does not apply: although the spring temperature is very low, the orchid seedling has just recovered from the dormancy state, the activity ability is very weak. If fertilized at this time, it will cause fertilizer damage because it can not be completely absorbed by orchids and remain in the roots.

No application in summer: when the temperature is about 35 ℃, the orchid seedlings are in a semi-dormant state, the vegetative growth slows down and the root activity weakens. At this time, fertilization is also difficult to be absorbed by Langen, which is easy to cause fertilizer damage.

No application in winter: the temperature is very low in winter, the orchid enters the dormant period, the flower bud enters the vernalization period, the vegetative growth stops and cannot be fertilized.

Bad weather: no fertilizer can be applied when it rains or is about to rain, first, the fertilizer is easily washed away by Rain Water and lost; second, due to weather changes, the vitality of Langen is relatively weakened.

No application at noon: it is appropriate to choose early and late fertilization in sunny days, the temperature is higher at noon, fertilization is easy to hurt orchid seedlings.

What kind of fertilizer should be applied

Mature farm manure: farm manure is a good organic fertilizer, but it must be stored for more than one year before it can be applied. Can use this kind of fertilizer liquid to water 10-20 times, apply on the edge of the basin as far as possible, do not touch the root, do not touch the orchid leaf.

Chemical fertilizer: when applying chemical fertilizer, we should pay attention to the balance of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and strictly control the concentration. Leaf art seedlings should control the synthesis of chlorophyll and should not apply nitrogen fertilizer or fertilizers containing manganese and magnesium (such as calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, etc.). Because manganese and magnesium can accelerate the synthesis of chlorophyll for orchid, if you cultivate large-petal flowers, you can apply appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer.

How to apply fertilizer

Apply thinly, eat less and eat more: orchids do not need much fertilizer during the growing period, and the vigorous orchid plants can be treated with dilute liquid fertilizer every 10-15 days.

Foliar fertilizer spraying is mainly used: foliar fertilizer spraying can not only absorb and supplement the nutrition of orchid plants through orchid leaves, but also will not cause fertilizer damage to the roots, which is the best way to apply fertilizer to orchids. As long as in the growth and development period, adhere to a foliar fertilizer spraying for about 10 days, orchids can be raised well, and there is no need to apply fertilizer to the basin. You can use 1RU 1000 potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 1RU 1000 boron fertilizer, or you can use aloe solution. Because aloe contains a large number of nutrients such as polysaccharides and amino acids, and contains more than 20 kinds of minerals, which can meet the nutrients needed by orchids, and aloe contains remote aloe tincture can kill almost all germs and viruses. there is no need to apply pesticides to prevent disease after application.

Mainly natural organic matter. Natural organic fertilizer has more comprehensive nutrient elements, no need to apply other fertilizers, and has no side effects on plants, while chemical fertilizer is easy to harden the matrix, and most of the fertilizers are acidic. Long-term application will cause excessive acid in the matrix and cause diseases.
